Master

With the English-language Master degree program ethnology,students will deepen their professional understanding and academic skills. The Master is research-oriented and emphasizes working on your own research project.

Students can take both English and German-language courses in the elective area if they are interested.

Online application via uni-assist:
The application via uni-assist is an online application. Therefore, please upload the necessary application documents electronically using uni-assist MyAssist portal.
Once you have formally applied via uni-assist, your application will be forwarded to our International Centre. We will then send an email containing login details for our AlmaWeb study portal. Once the application procedure is complete, this portal is where we will make your electronic letter of admission available if your application was successful

Internship is not mandatory, but is optional during studies. If possible, we recommend doing an internship.

The Semester contributions totaling 253.50 EUR must be paid in each semester. It includes Student body 8.50 EUR, Studentenwerk Leipzig 80 EUR and MDV public transport pass 165 EUR

In the Game Design programme, your studies will focus on the development and creation of innovative and experimental games. As a student, You'll receive an overview of the business, culture, and markets surrounding computer games, from AAA to indie games and experimental formats.You'll have classes in the areas of game design, game art and game programming, as well as their interplay with each other. You'll learn how to Master the development process in teams on a project basis. To round out the development of your own games and prototypes, You'll learn about the theoretical aspects of gaming as a medium, receive an overview of the financial perspectives and get insight into the industry at the national and international levels. In interdisciplinary seminars, workshops, and study trips, You'll expand your horizons.

It is mandatory to do an internship. It is easier to find internship when it is mandatory. 3-6 months is most common.

Pearson Test of English (General) Level 1, PASSWORD 5.5 (no less than 5.0 in each component), EF SET 51, can be used as proof of English language proficiency

The consecutive Master degree to the Bachelor degree in biology offers a wide range of subjects that spans all areas of biology. Applicants from related life science courses are often qualified for the Master course and can apply. An individual selection of three majors or one qualification major and two majors opens up wide fields on the job market in the life sciences and related disciplines. The course is primarily research-oriented. Specialization in at least three of seven possible areas (biochemistry and cell biology, genetics, medical biology, microbiology, ecology, plant sciences, zoology/animal sciences), with one area optionally being able to be expanded into a qualification area.

The language of instruction for this program is German or English. Depending on the focus area you choose, you can study in German, English or both languages

The Master program in mathematics has a research orientation. Building on an initial degree, academic knowledge is deepened, and students acquire the ability to work on academic principles independently, learning to apply academic methods and findings. The Master program offers students the possibility of deepening previously acquired knowledge in one of the following domains: analysis, discrete mathematics, algebraic/complex geometry, numerical mathematics, differential geometry, or topology.

The Semester contributions totaling 312.89 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Enrollment fee 50 EUR, Social contribution for Students union fee 54.09 EUR, Student government fee (Studierendenschaft) 10.00 EUR and; Semester ticket, tariff area ABC, Social fund fee 198.80 EUR
