The Master of Science in Microbiology is a scientific-biological study course  based on fundamental research with a special focus on Microbiology in Its full diversity. This covers phylogeny  physiology  cell and molecular biology of organisms from all three domains of life.The programme is interdisciplinary in nature and includes modules at external research institutes such as the Leibniz Institute for Natural Product Research and Infection Biology (Hans Knöll Institute)  the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Ecology  and cooperation with relevant biotechnology corporations.



Internship is not mandatory, but is optional during studies. If possible, we recommend doing an internship.

The amount 266.10 EUR consists of a 74.00 EUR basic fee for the student union, 90.60 EUR semester ticket for local transport, 68.50 EUR semester ticket for rail,  2.00 EUR culture ticket, 11.00 EUR contribution for the student body, 20.00 EUR additional fee Equipped with the Thoska chip card

The mission of Master degree program in Information Technology is to provide the industrial perspective on IT. The contents of this degree program are based on the idea of an Internet for smart machines on which real-time information is permanently available in sufficient quality at all levels of automation systems. The Master program Information Technology prepares for all levels of leadership positions in science and industry.

The Semester contribution totaling 324 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes contribution to the student body of 18 EUR, 215 EUR for Semester ticket  and 91 EUR for Association for Student Affairs

Information Technology

The degree programme in International Business prepares students for a business and economics-related career in an international environment and teaches the professional and interdisciplinary skills and methods that are necessary for this. To this end, students are familiarised with basic knowledge of scientific and practical methods of business administration as well as the associated teaching areas (including quantitative methods such as mathematics and statistics). In addition, key qualifications such as scientific work, the ability to work in a team, presentation techniques and soft skills are taught. In addition to subject-specific skills, foreign language competence is of central importance.

It is mandatory to do an internship. It is easier to find internship when it is mandatory. 3-6 months is most common.

The Semester contributions totaling 131.32 EUR must be paid each semester it includes ASTA 14.00 EUR, Semester ticket 90.72 EUR, Chip card 25.00 EUR and Delivery fee 1.60 EUR

Proof of language skills in English can be provided by General Higher Education Entrance Qualification that allows for admission to study at a German university in English

In Master programme International Business Management [60 ECTS and 90 ECTS] you will be optimally prepared for a management position at international level. After successful completion, you will not only be qualified for a successful career in management, but will also have the necessary social skills in addition to professional and organisational qualifications.

The European Master in Dynamics of Renewables-based Power Systems (DREAM) is a Master programme that offers multidisciplinary education in the modern power systems field. It trains students to tackle the current and future challenges of smart power systems in a new way. DREAM aims to promote a more integrated way of thinking in order to prepare multidisciplinary specialists trained for the new jobs and challenges of future power systems. The university was founded in 1962.
