Course Details

Spatial Planning for Regions in Growing Economies (SPRING) is Master degree program that addresses current spatial planning topics in developing and emerging countries. SPRING students discuss, for example, the challenges of rapid urban growth, reflect on the conflict between environmental protection and economic development, develop concepts to improve transport systems or define strategies to cope with the impacts of climate change. The first year of the SPRING program takes place at TU Dortmund University, followed by a second year at one of Its five partner universities in Ghana, Tanzania, the Philippines or Chile.

If students choose Ardhi University in Dar es Salam, Tanzania, then the study fee is 4,235 USD, for Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, Ghana study fee is 6,083.13 EUR, for University of The Philippines in Manila, study fee is 9,090 EUR, for Universidad Austral de Chile in Valdivia, Chile study fee is 2,464 EUR, for Universidade Federal do ABC in São Paulo, Brazil study fee is 3,000 USD.
