The Master in Sustainability, Society and Environment programme has been designed to empower students to become change leaders for sustainable development. The programme helps you to develop your Competencies in two complementary areas: Research skills to analyze social, environmental and economic challenges of sustainable development and creative and entrepreneurial skills to develop and implement sustainability projects and social enterprises.

Requirements

Entry Requirements

Minimum requirement includes a degree with a standard period of study lasting at least three years at a German university or comparable foreign institution of higher education, which was completed with a Bachelor examination or equivalent final examination with at least 180 ECTS credit points and a grade of 2.5 or better.

Applicants should have studied in the following two fields of study: Social sciences, economics and business, media and communication with at least 90 ECTS credit points and environmental sciences, natural sciences with at least 30 ECTS credit points.

If the degree certificate is not yet available at the time of application, a transcript of records with at least 120 ECTS credit points needs to be submitted.

Kiel University accepts applications from applicants who have lived abroad at least six months as part of a degree programme, internship or job experience.
