Course Details

In the Technology of Renewable Resources course, you will receive the necessary practical and scientific know-how to use renewable resources sensibly. Equipped with scientific, process engineering and economic basis, you will look at the entire value chain from plant production, harvesting technology, processing and analysis to the manufacture of finished products. In this way, you are broadly positioned with your studies for your later professional activity. They deal with botany and plant constituents, with microbiological and biotechnological processes, with the material and energetic use of renewable raw materials as well as the ecological and economic evaluation of the processes. Note: If you start your studies in the summer semester, you will study in the StudyFLEX program. What does StudyFLEX mean? The basic course is stretched from 2 to 3 semesters and supplemented by supporting events (bridging courses, tutorials, mentoring, study advice, orientation in the professional field). The original 7-semester course is thus designed for 8 semesters, in which 210 cp are acquired. At the beginning of your studies, you gain time to refresh your scientific basis, to develop your learning strategy and to get to know the professional field.
