The aim of this Master program is to acknowledges the multifaceted threats to human life being imposed by overuse and overexploitation of freshwater resources and the ecosystems. Students are trained to understand the basic principles of all related management sectors such as ecology, economy, engineering, social and management sciences, along with the skills and the knowledge to identify relevant challenges and to develop tailored and integrated solutions. This is a integrated and interdisciplinary Master double degree program offered jointly by the University of Duisburg-Essen and Radboud University Nijmegen. Upon completion of the program students are offered two diploma on behalf of both the universities.

Semester contribution of 324.06 EUR must be paid each semester. It consist of Mobility contribution of 213.06 EUR, Social contribution for the student union of 95.00 EUR, and Student union fee of 16.00 EUR
Minimum requirement includes degree in environmental sciences, natural sciences, life sciences, water sciences, landscape ecology, civil engineering, water management or land management.
As a part of selection process applicants need to attend an interview.
