The smart energy system program is Driven by the energy transition  the energy industry is currently undergoing a major change. The share of renewable energy sources such as photovoltaics or wind power is growing steadily  allowing consumers to generate energy rather than only consuming it. The increasing decentralisation of plants and the increased volatility of energy production  e.g. due to changing solar radiation  make intelligent networking necessary. Only digitisation will enable both the conversion to an economical and renewable energy system  securing supply in the long term.
For this  interdisciplinarily trained experts are needed who have profound expertise in the field of energy sciences and digital technologies as well as Competencies for organisational implementation under economic  legal and ecological aspects.To this end  students in the international and English-language Master degree programme SES learn the different producer and consumer technologies in modern  decentralised energy grids. They deal in particular with the exchange of information between the individual participants and the associated transmission paths as well as the resulting interaction of the overall system. knowledge from the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and optimisation is also taught  combined with the respective possibilities from the field of information and communication Technology for secure and reliable data exchange. The aim is to sharpen the understanding of the individual generator and consumer technologies and  in particular  to impart knowledge and skills with regard to the optimal operation of an entire energy system.

Students acquire knowledge about the design  operation and optimisation of intelligent  decentralised energy systems through the application of innovative and digital technologies. The growing complexity and interconnection of the energy sectors makes SES graduates ideal specialists and managers not only in the field of energy production and marketing  but also in the real estate industry and building Technology sector  the automotive industry or in energy-intensive industries (building materials  chemicals  glass  non-ferrous metals  paper and steel).

Internship is not mandatory, but is optional during studies. If possible, we recommend doing an internship.

In TOEIC, the listening/reading level should be 785, the speaking level should be 160 and the writing level should be 150 and Native English speakers are exempt from providing proof.

The international Master World Heritage Studies provides the practical skills and theoretical knowledge to identify  protect  manage and present cultural and natural heritage sites. Students are encouraged to question how the World Heritage concept is understood and how it works around the world. The program combines theory and practice involving various academic disciplines such as humanities  architecture  ecology  management  tourism  marketing and others. It thus emphasizes the connection between culture and nature  tangible and intangible cultural heritage  as well as conservation and sustainable development.The program recognizes that heritage can and should be protected from a variety of perspectives and in contemporary contexts. To this end  the program focuses on the critical examination of current challenges  such as demographic changes  ecological fragility and economic inequalities. Students will develop the skills they need to work successfully in professional cultural and natural heritage contexts to further Advanced the definition and recontextualization of the World Heritage concept.

The language of instruction and examination in the World Heritage Studies Master program is English.

Applicants with a higher education entrance qualification from Australia  Canada  Ireland  New Zealand  Great Britain incl. Northern Ireland or the United States of American do not have to submit a separate proof of English language skills

The Kehl University of Applied Sciences is a university that offers bachelor's degrees exclusively for public service jobs. Its main task is to train civil servants for higher administrative service in the state, the municipality, the districts and other bodies, institutions and foundations under public law that are subject to state supervision.  The University of Public Administration in Kehl is one of Germany's most prestigious institutions of its kind. It was established in 1971 and grew in the 1980s. The Zeppelin University in Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance is a state-recognized private-sector foundation university accredited by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry for Science, Research, and the Arts. Zeppelin University has been a foundation university since 2007.

In Friedrichshafen, the university maintains two permanent locations. The ""Seemoser Horn,"" situated on Lake Constance, is home to the former ZU headquarters (SeeCampus / SMH) and larger main campus (ZF Campus) started in 2013.

ZU focused on the integration of social perspective into science and the application of scientific knowledge to real-world situations in both her teaching and research. Research priorities and areas of focus at ZU have been effectively developed over many years and are now largely established.
