Internship is not mandatory, but is optional during studies. If possible, we recommend doing an internship.

The elite Master SynCat program offers a focused and international education in the field of modern synthesis and catalysis chemistry. Students acquire theoretical knowledge and practical skills that optimally prepare them for challenging research tasks in all areas of chemistry and material sciences. 

It is mandatory to do an internship. It is easier to find internship when it is mandatory. 3-6 months is most common.

The Master of Computational Science is a research-oriented, interdisciplinary degree program for highly motivated students who want to combine scientific interest with programming, data analysis and computer simulation and are aiming for a research-related career in industry, science or public institutes. Students can specialize in the following areas of bioinformatics, Computational Physics, numerical Mathematics.

Computational Science

The interdisciplinary Master degree program in Life Science Informatics is designed to enable graduates to successfully meet the technical and economic challenges at the interface between biotechnology, medicine, pharmacy, and informatics. Its focus is to convey skills and competencies from the natural sciences and information technology while also integrating academic research as well. 

The Semester contributions totaling 320.11 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Student self administration fee 12.00 EUR, Social services for student fee 0.75 EUR, Allowance for student council fee 1.50 EUR, Support fund for students fee 0.01 EUR, University Sports fee 0.85 EUR, Culture pass fee 3.00 EUR, Student transit passes fee 201.40 EUR, Special account for mobility fee 0.60 EUR and Contribution to the Student union fee fee 100.00 EUR

Life Science Informatics

University of Bonn

The Master degree program in bioinformatics is an interdisciplinary, research-oriented program. The focus of the program is on systems biology, and is dedicated to the analysis of biological data and their integration in modeling of complex biological systems. The program further aims at preparing the students for their future endeavors at universities and research institutions, governmental agencies, in biotechnological or biomedical companies, as well as for their involvement in teaching and education.

The Semester contributions totalling 316.00 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Student Service fee 50.00 EUR, Student body fee 15.00 EUR, Enrollment and re-registration fee 51.00 EUR and Semester ticket fee 200.00 EUR

Degree certificate and university entrance qualification obtained in English language, College English Test (CET; China) with at least 550 points is accepted as proof of language proficiency

Bioinformatics

University of Potsdam

Computational Mecha­nics of Mate­rials and Struc­tures (COMMAS) is about the development and implementation of numerical methods based on the principles of mechanics, mathematics and computer science. Students learn different practical and powerful approaches to model, understand and predict responses of complex materials and structures encountered almost all engineering disciplines.

The Semester contributions totalling 214.70 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Administrative fee 70.00 EUR, Student Services fee and VVS-StudiTicket solidarity fee 134.70 EUR and Student body fee 10.00 EUR

Computational Mecha­nics of Mate­rials and Struc­tures (COMMAS)

Master in Neural Information Processing covers theoretical and computational aspects of neuroscience, a field of research that has become increasingly important in the past years.

The Semester contributions totalling 158.30 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Student Services Student union Tübingen-Hohenheim AöR fee 84.80 EUR, Administration fee 70.00 EUR and Student union fee 3.50 EUR

German Gymnasium (grade 8 until grade 12/13 with good result) certificate can be used as a proof of English language proficiency

The Master programme in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics concentrates on areas of artificial intelligence, especially machine learning and deep learning, students will gain the necessary knowledge to implement effective AI-based solutions in a wide variety of application areas. A special focus is placed on the application area of robotics. Students will learn how to design intelligent robotics solutions and deepen their skills through practical exercises in various modules. The skills students acquire will enable them to independently plan, execute, and evaluate complex projects in these areas. Career prospects include Robotics application developer, AI developer, IT project manager, Consultant, ML architect, Data engineer, Machine learning engineer and so on.
