Master in African Studies and Egyptology offers solid training in the methods, theories and working techniques of African Studies and Egyptology through an interdisciplinary approach, leading to a specialisation in linguistics, Egyptology or cultural anthropology. The core focus is the analysis and description of the languages of Africa, including Egyptian, in their social, cultural and historical context.

The Semester contributions totalling 318.05 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes AStA contribution fee 9.00 EUR, Student Sport fee 1.75 EUR, NRW semester ticket fee 202.30 EUR, Faculty Assignment fee 2.50 EUR, Administrative and hardship contribution fee 2.50 EUR and KStW fee 100.00 EUR
Minimum requirement includes a Bachelor program of at least six semesters in which at least 180 credit points have been earned in one of the following subjects credit points were acquired, in one of the following subjects: African Studies, Egyptology or an equivalent relevant degree.
Applicants from China, India and Vietnam are required to submit APS certificate
