Master

Master in Sustainability Management deals with a deep understanding of the background, methods and context of sustainability, both from a macro and a micro perspective. The modules allow you to understand the larger political, economic and social implications, conflicts and potential solutions to sustainability challenges. Eg: Climate change, renewable energy, sustainable consumption and production, biodiversity, global economic development, inequality and poverty, and democracy and human rights.

Internship is not mandatory, but is optional during studies. If possible, we recommend doing an internship.

Students have to pay an enrollment fee of 690 EUR

The Bachelor of Arts with American studies learn the theoretical fundamentals of the subject as well as practical language skills and intercultural competence. This program intended for students with a wide-ranging interest in the languages, the literature, the cultures, and the history of North American.  American Studies is interdisciplinary and includes literature, culture, history, social policy, and politics. The programme consists of a core with 9 modules and a minor with 10 modules as part of programme structure.

The Master degree in Molecular Biosciences and Productive Biosystems offers the opportunity to acquire in-depth molecular biological knowledge relating to microbes, fungi, and plants, as well as aspects of the application of these systems for manufacturing active ingredients and chemicals for white biotechnology. This will contribute to the progressive development of the bioeconomy, thus addressing a socially, economically, and scientifically highly relevant area of knowledge.

Chemistry

The Master program in Neuroscience focuses on understanding complex networks of neurons and how these facilitate cognition (learning, memory, attention), emotions, and consciousness. They combine concepts and methods from biology, physics, chemistry, informatics, medicine and psychology in order to understand the function of the nervous system. The Master program in Digital Media and Society is focuses at the development of digitization. As part of these processes, the role of media and communication devices  is changing as well. Its aim is to qualify students for media planning and decision-making positions in a datafied society. The interdisciplinary approach and the focus on current research project and relevant social challenges of the program prepares graduates for a number of professional roles. In addition to working in different capacities within the media industries, graduates can contribute in various capacities within businesses, NGOs and governmental institutions.

Digital Media and Society

Bachelor in Human Movement in Sports and Exercise (HuMSE) is a fundamentally research-oriented degree that focuses on the analysis of human movement and physical activity in different settings and is therefore intended to qualify for fields of activity in for whom research into human movement, physical activity and performance is important. 

All courses are held entirely in English (or 80-90 Percent)

During studies in the Master program students will engage with core topics in political and administrative science research from an international and comparative perspective. The focus is on empirical projects in the areas of administration, public policy, management, and governance using qualitative and quantitative methods and drawing on subject-specific theoretical knowledge. During the theoretical and empirical training students will deepen their knowledge about the structure and the functioning of public administration from the local to the global level.
