The Programme Anglophone Studies is to impart Advanced linguistic, literary and cultural knowledge and specific didactic knowledge and skills as well as comprehensive skills in the field of academic methodology in the subjects studied. The intention is to equip students with the skills needed for the independent acquisition, implementation and critical appraisal of linguistic, literary, cultural and specialist didactic models and theories. Students are to be equipped to conduct independent and creative analyses of complex issues and to plan, carry out and assess their own academic projects.

Internship is not mandatory, but is optional during studies. If possible, we recommend doing an internship.

The Semester contributions totaling 296.90 EUR must be paid in each semester. Anglophone Studies

Justus Liebig University Giessen

The English-language Master degree in Meteorology is research-oriented and provides in-depth insight into the theoretical and experimental working methods in meteorology. Deeper insights into the current state of scientific discourse are provided through intensive participation in the working groups of the Institute for Meteorology and Its cooperation partners in Leipzig.

The Master in Finance program provides a unique interdisciplinary education in mathematical finance to students from around the world. Graduates are able to use Advanced mathematical methods in order to solve problems such as the modeling of complex financial processes and products.

The program in Embedded systems engineering is connection between engineering and computer science. In the Master program, University provides students with versatile know-how in computer science and engineering. In this English and American Studies, students deepen their subject knowledge and improve their practical language skills. Through opportunities for interdisciplinary research and numerous project assignments, they receive comprehensive preparation for a wide variety of fields of work. Students can create their personal profile by choosing a major area of study between linguistics and literary studies, as well as that of a minor area from Anglophone and European Cultural Studies, Didactics of English and depending on the choice of major area linguistics or literary studies.

The Master of Arts in International Security Studies (MISS) is a unique post-graduate program for security professionals offered jointly by the Universität der Bundeswehr München (UniBwM) and the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies (GCMC). The one-year program is designed to prepare international military and civilian students with some years of professional experience for executive positions in the public and private sector.
Master of Arts in International Security Studies participants profit from the particular strengths of the partnering institutions: The program combines university modules taught by the UniBwM professors and selected international faculty with the policy-oriented programs of the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies, a German-American defense institution where students study alongside other government officials from 110 countries.
