The international Animation and Game Direction Master program rapidly evolving  highly competitive animation and games industry offers ample career opportunities for skilled professionals who are able to develop innovative formats and lead creative teams. The English language Master programme Animation and Game Direction offers students Advanced theoretical knowledge and methodological competencies in order to develop directorial authorship based on intense genre knowledge  industrial standard producing practices as well as strong leadership skills. Students are enabled to create compelling  original content as well as carry out relevant research in the field of animations  games and emerging technologies such as virtual reality  augmented reality or artificial intelligence.

Applications to take part in degree courses at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences should be submitted to uni-assist in Berlin.

Internship is not mandatory, but is optional during studies. If possible, we recommend doing an internship.

With the Master program International Media Cultural Work we can study about Curating – Communicating – Managing – These three terms span the huge field of digital media and Its technologies  for which International Media Cultural Work will qualify Its students as superbly imaginative leaders and strategically outstanding executives. During the program students will focus on media aesthetic education and cultural communication to develop expertise in inspiring society to a deeper and critical understanding of media technologies’cultural implications  as well as their social and ethical philosophical dimensions. The course’s practical goal is to encourage society and individuals to use media for skillful self-expression  as well as for creative and emancipatory practices. The program is conducted in English. Its perspective is international and intercultural. The students will work in transdiscipline  collaborative  and experimental environments.

Step 1
Apply online via the uni-assist portal. Note the necessary application documents that you need to upload there (no postal submissions). About 4 weeks after receipt of your application  uni-assist will inform you about the current processing status. If your application is formally correct  your data will be forwarded to the Hochschule Darmstadt. 

Step 2
If your application is successful  you will receive a letter of admission from the Hochschule Darmstadt. This letter of admission contains a binding enrolment date and a list of documents that you must submit by Email in order to enrol. 

Incomplete or incorrect documents will result in the cancellation of the notification of admission! The place originally allocated to you will then be allocated to someone else.

International Media Cultural Work

The Master program International Marketing and Media Management (M.A.) equips you with the international strategic skills, introduces you to the latest marketing trends and provides you with knowledge of both quantitative and qualitative methodology. Dive deep into topics such as media management, economics and marketing communication. In lectures and field trips you will get insights into the fast-paced world of online marketing, consumer behavior, price and sales management, emerging media markets, digital transformation as well as applied market research.

Notes teaching language depends based on location chosen. Course taught in English if location Berlin chosen and course taught in German if location Cologne chosen.

Semester contribution includes admission fee of 980 EUR  only prospective students from non-EU/non-Schengen area

 The Faculty of Technology and Computer Science is HAW Hamburg's largest faculty, with 163 professors teaching approximately 6,000 students across four departments and 21 courses. The Faculty of Life Sciences houses 18 courses that are directly related to people's basic living conditions. The range of subjects includes everything from health and nutrition to natural sciences and engineering.
 
 The Faculty of Design, Media, and Information, with 72 professors and 3007 students, offers courses ranging from design to media technology areas such as light and sound design and game design, as well as information and media courses. Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg, also known as MLU, is a public, research-oriented university in the German cities of Halle and Wittenberg. It is the largest and oldest university in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt. MLU offers courses in both German and English that lead to academic degrees such as BA, BSc, MA, MSc, doctoral degrees, and Habilitation. MLU’s academic profile in the field of the humanities is shaped by the core research areas “Enlightenment – Religion – Knowledge” and “Society and Culture in Motion through Diffusion - Experiment - Institution”.
 
 The core scientific research areas at the university are "Materials Science - Nanostructured Materials" and "Biosciences - Structures and Mechanisms of Biological Information Processing."
