The Master of Arts degree in Sociology offers well-founded theoretical and methodological training and enables specialization opportunities in different areas. The overarching goal of the study program is to impart extensive theoretical and methodological knowledge to the students in the theory and method seminars as well as in all offered areas of general and special sociology. The special feature of the MA Sociology in Bielefeld is that the students are given maximum freedom of choice at the largest sociological institution in the country. In addition to an introduction and a final module  you can choose depending on your individual focus - and this during the course of your studies  not at the beginning.

The International Track is the English-language branch of the German-language Master programme. Accordingly  M.A. Sociology students can combine English- and German-language courses or complete the entire Master programme in English.

It is mandatory to do an internship. It is easier to find internship when it is mandatory. 3-6 months is most common.

Sociology International track

The Aviation Management programme is designed for students with a Bachelor’s or Diploma degree in engineering or business and no less than one year of professional experience. Successful graduates will be well placed to work in the following fields: international airlines, airport authorities, air traffic control, manufacturing of aircraft and equipment, maintenance and service companies and regulating authorities on local, national and international levels. This full time degree program consist of 120 CP.

No language certificate is required for native-speakers and students with a degree from a programme taught in English

The Mannheim Master in Management is the most flexible Master program in business administration in Germany. Students enrolled in the program Mannheim Master in Management can design their studies individually and flexibly in accordance with their ideas. They can choose from a  wide range of courses in the following areas: Accounting and Taxation, Banking, Finance and Insurance, Information Systems, Management, Marketing and Sales as well as Operations Management

English (German-English track: some courses are also taught in German).
Students enrolled in the English track can choose from the range of courses that are taught completely in English. Students studying in the German-English track may also take courses that are taught in German

Internship is not mandatory, but is optional during studies. If possible, we recommend doing an internship.

Master programme in Information and Communication Systems covers a wide range of modules with the focus on future challenges in the field of Information and Communication Systems. Digitisation and the increasing penetration of private and occupational areas of life by Information and Communication technologies will extensively shape the information society of the future. The Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences, often known as HSRW or Hochschule Rhein-Waal, is a new and rapidly expanding public university in Germany that was founded for the 2009–10 winter semester. The bulk of its degree programs are offered entirely in English, making it the most globally focused institution in Germany.
 
 The two campuses of HSRW are situated in Kleve and Kamp-Lintfort. The German Rhine and the Dutch Waal are the inspirations for the names of the university.
