Master

In the Master degree program International Management and Sustainability we show you how to turn these challenges into opportunities. In addition to the important linguistic expertise, you will also acquire international knowledge and intercultural skills. The Master programme combines current issues from the fields of International Management (including strategic management, value chains, project management) and Sustainability (including climate change, environmental economics, sustainability management and social entrepreneurship). The range of subjects is supplemented by basic knowledge of general management and corporate responsibility. In addition to business administration training, you will work on your personal development and leadership skills.

All international applicants who have not obtained their bachelor’s degree in Europa must have their credentials reviewed and approved by uni-assist. Please note that it can take up to 8 weeks until you receive your VPD (Vorprüfungsdokumentation = necessary document for your application). After having received or while waiting for your VPD you can apply at OTH Amberg-Weiden and upload your documents in Primuss.

Internship is not mandatory, but is optional during studies. If possible, we recommend doing an internship.

Semester contribution of 72 EUR includes cost for administrative matters (student identity card etc.,)

Accepted certificates for German language proficiency are: Goethe-certificate, telc, or ÖSD-certificate

International Management and Sustainability

The Aim of the Master program in Water Engineering is to provide students with broad, technical-oriented knowledge in water related engineering and natural sciences and teach students how to work in international project teams on multidisciplinary topics in order to deal with water in a sustainable, integrated manner. The program also helps determine the complex challenges facing the water sector in dry climate regions and develop appropriate academic and scientific problem solving strategies.

It is mandatory to do an internship. It is easier to find internship when it is mandatory. 3-6 months is most common.

The Semester contributions totaling 307.54 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Administrative fee 50 EUR, Student body contribution fee 9.65 EUR, Student work Berlin fee 54.09 EUR and Semesterticket contribution fee 193.80 EUR

Water Engineering

British Studies encompasses the entire breadth of the literatures and cultures of the United Kingdom, Ireland and the English-speaking world (with the exception of North American) from the Middle Ages to the present day. It deals with textual as well as visual, material, performative and virtual representations and interpretations of the cultures it deals with and, above all, with the methods of literary and cultural studies, linguistics, media studies and gender studies.The aim of English teaching and research is a historically informed, culturally differentiated and scientifically reflected understanding of the United Kingdom, Ireland and the English-speaking world.

Classroom language is English (individual elective courses may be in German)

The Master programme in European Master in Migration and Intercultural Relations provides state of the art education in theoretical concepts, empirical methods and transdisciplinary approaches to migration studies. The program will address issues that currently rank highly on the global agenda, and need expertise on transnational, transcultural and transdisciplinary level. The cross-cutting aim is to promote problem solving skills and the ability of knowledge transfer. Graduates will be qualified to pursue doctoral studies or employment in national and international governmental and non-governmental institutions dealing with migration, intercultural competence and education, in particular intersecting with development issues and gender issues.

European Master in Migration and Intercultural Relations

The Bachelor of Music curriculum is unique in that it unites an intensive music performance education with a broad introduction to the humanities. The course also incorporates music theory, music history and ear training, as well as Advanced courses in music performance, music education, musicology and music composition. Courses in the humanities are viewed as an integral part of the Akademie undergraduate music education.

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme, is highly practice-oriented, and will provide students with all the business administration knowledge and skills they will need as a future manager in international companies. Students acquire in-depth expertise in strategy and leadership, categories of business organisations, management framework, management theory and management tools. Once students graduate, they will be able to take a responsible, ethical approach to decision-making and evaluation. Career prospects include Business Development Manager, Senior Brand Manager and so on.

Bachelor in Teacher Education at high schools and comprehensive schools (GyGe) consists of a 6-semester degree and independent of the chosen type of teacher training. The University of Siegen offers a teacher training program starting at the undergraduate level, i.e. with a close link between the subject-specific studies and the specialist didactic and educational sciences contents from the start of the Bachelor program.

Language of instruction is German, foreign language in some subjects. Subject of instruction: English, French, Spanish
