Master

The Master Programme offers specialization in the fields “Pharmaceutical Biotechnology” or “Industrial Biotechnology”. Pharmaceutical Biotechnology covers all relevant aspects for the development of new biotechnology based drugs, starting from drug target identification to up- and downstream processing till final formulation. It also provides a basis for understanding the mechanisms and processes of diseases. Industrial Biotechnology covers all relevant aspects on the development of new industrial biotechnological processes, starting from access to and pretreatment of renewable resources to up- and downstream processing till the application and process optimization.

Internship is not mandatory, but is optional during studies. If possible, we recommend doing an internship.

The Semester contributions totaling 116.10 EUR must be paid each semester.It includes Semester ticket 60 EUR and University semester fee 56.10 EUR

The North American Studies degree provides specialist knowledge of the United States and Canada in six disciplines - history, cultural studies, literary studies, political science, sociology and economics. Students select three of the above disciplines for their specialization (e.g. history, literature and economics). The professional perspectives are supplemented by interdisciplinary courses - for example in regularly offered interdisciplinary lecture series in which lecturers from all six disciplines present.

Biochemistry Master degree program provides theoretical and practical training in the key areas of biochemistry through lecture series, methodology courses and lab rotations at the University of Bonn and at partner institutions. In addition, students acquire in-depth knowledge about the chemical biology of nucleic acids, lipids, lipidomics and metabolomics, biophysics of membrane proteins as well as the biochemical basis of neurophysiology, using state-of-the-art technologies and methods and being supervised by experienced and internationally renowned scientists.

Biochemistry

University of Bonn

Master program in Biblical Studies (MBSt) will be offered by the Faculty of Protestant Theology in cooperation with the Centre for Religion and Society, at the public University of Excellence in Bonn, Germany.  As a research-oriented course, the Master program in Biblical Studies opens up the possibility of subsequent doctoral studies – at the University of Bonn or elsewhere. Competencies acquired in the Master program go beyond biblical exegesis. You will also develop intercultural skills and the ability to participate in an international academic discourse. 

Following test results can serve as proof of English proficiency: TOEFL, IELTS or Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE)

Master program in Physics of the Earth and Atmosphere provides the necessary knowledge of geophysics and meteorology, which then leads to an understanding of the various processes in the Earth system. Students will also receive insights into current research in the fields of measurement and modeling in both subject areas.

Physics of the Earth and Atmosphere

University of Cologne

Master of Education (for teaching at grammar schools and comprehensive schools) can be completed with combination of any other major subject. Studying educational sciences is a compulsory part of teacher training for all student teachers - regardless of the chosen combination of subjects or the type of school.

It is mandatory to do an internship. It is easier to find internship when it is mandatory. 3-6 months is most common.

The Semester contributions totalling 316.03 EUR must be paid each semester. The Master degree programme Physics, Engineering and Medicine conveys and combines practical and interdisciplinary skills from physics and electrical engineering with theoretical competencies in medicine, biology and psychology. Master in Aeronautical Management program is designed for pilots and engineers. The program includes the following modules: Aviation Business Administration, Risk Management in Aviation, International Law and Aviation law, Simulation via Aviation Logistics Systems, Simulation and Modeling, Control Systems, Human Factors in Leadership. These modules are delivered by lecturers and professors with practical aviation industry experience. The Master programme in Management with specialization in Engineering Management focuses on operations and systems control on the one hand and people management on the other. Master in Management studies will provide students with sound leadership skills and know-how in a specialist field of management of their choice. Career prospects include Change Manager, Project Manager, Consultant and so on.
