The Master of Science in Biotechnology is characterized by a clear research orientation with a wide range of possible specializations in various focal points of modern biotechnology. The Münster biotechnology course is thus embedded in one of the main research areas of the department, which focuses in particular on the processing of organisms.

The Semester contributions totalling 316.03 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Student union fee 99.11 EUR, Supplementary student insurance fee 0.23 EUR, University Sports fee 1.40 EUR, Student body fee 11.75 EUR, University radio station fee 0.30 EUR, Semester ticket for cultural events fee 3.40 EUR and Semester ticket 199.84 EUR
Minimum requirement includes university studies with at least three years of regular study (corresponding to 180 ECTS credits, example Bachelor of Science, Diploma, State exam, or similar) in the following subjects or similar) in the subjects of biotechnology, biology, chemistry, pharmaceutics, food chemistry and related disciplines.
Graduates of other scientific disciplines such as bioinformatics and biochemistry may be admitted.
English and German Native speakers are exempt from proving language proficiency
Following test result can serve as proof of English proficiency: TOEFL
Applicants can submit proof of additional qualifications relevant to the Master of Science in Biotechnology program (e.g. job references, additional degrees, relevant internships), if applicable
