Master degree programme in Chemistry is research-oriented and geared for a the Master thesis. Intensive research experiences are gained. The study programme offers four areas of specialization: Nanochemistry and Functional Materials, Catalysis and Synthesis, Photonics and Photochemistry, Bioorganic and Biological Chemistry.

The Semester contributions totalling 318.05 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes AStA contribution fee 9.00 EUR, Student Sport fee 1.75 EUR, NRW semester ticket fee 202.30 EUR, Faculty Assignment fee 2.50 EUR, Administrative and hardship contribution fee 2.50 EUR and KStW fee 100.00 EUR
Minimum requirement includes a Bachelor Bachelor-degree (or an equivalent university degree) in Chemistry or closely related subject.
Applicants have to prove at least 12 credit points in the following areas: Inorganic Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry, Physical and Theoretical Chemistry and in total at least 60 credit points from chemical disciplines.
An orientation interview in English will be held with applicants who (only) prove proficiency at level B2
Applicants from China, India and Vietnam are required to submit APS certificate
Additionally, official description of the content taken during Bachelor courses must be submitted
Applicants must provide information about names of two university teachers from whom references can be obtained
