virtual reality and expanded realities in general are about to break into almost every area of life. They will soon become part of everyday life just like the smartphone today. Students are helping to shape this future in the international bachelor’s program Expanded Realities. They conceive  design and develop new worlds and applications and contribute to a completely new media language. They Master the technological aspects of virtual  augmented or mixed reality as well as the creative and conceptual production of content and develop an understanding of the ethical and social dimensions of this new medium.

Step 1
Apply online via the uni-assist portal. Note the necessary application documents that you need to upload there (no postal submissions). About 4 weeks after receipt of your application  uni-assist will inform you about the current processing status. If your application is formally correct  your data will be forwarded to the Hochschule Darmstadt. 

Step 2
If your application is successful  you will receive a letter of admission from the Hochschule Darmstadt. This letter of admission contains a binding enrolment date and a list of documents that you must submit by Email in order to enrol. 

Incomplete or incorrect documents will result in the cancellation of the notification of admission! The place originally allocated to you will then be allocated to someone else.

It is mandatory to do an internship. It is easier to find internship when it is mandatory. 3-6 months is most common.

Expanded Realities

Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences

Communication and Information Technology programme with a highly research-oriented curriculum, teaching from solid fundamentals and state-of-the-art methods to up-to-date content from wireless communications, signal processing, optical communication devices, integrated circuits, RF engineering, sensor principles, machine learning and embedded systems.Core subjects as well as various specialisation modules provide a broad, yet in-depth background aimed at the above areas and allow for a study focus according to personal interests. By choosing specific modules, an up-to-date specialisation in either Communications Engineering, Communications Circuits and Systems, Intelligent Embedded Systems or Sensor Circuits and Systems is achieved.

A particular goal of the Master degree program is to prepare the graduates for the global job market or research and development in an international context. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are prepared for demanding activities in management, research and teaching in the field of energy technology.

Power Engineering (ISE)

The Master programme in Mathematics is a built on the Bachelor program. The main goals of the programme is to gain knowledge in mathematical methods and results, to gain the ability for discovering and analyzing structures, to learn about new subjects independently, to deepen knowledge in subjects of own choice, to get to the front of current research in a chosen area of mathematics, and to learn about practical techniques for solving complex problems. 

Program is offered in English. Participants are also welcome to attend courses and seminars that are offered in German. Students can choose to write the Masters thesis in English or in German

The Semester contributions totaling 230.20 EUR must be paid in each semester. It includes, Administrative fee of 70.00 EUR, Student union fee of 77.70 EUR, Student body fee of 7.50 EUR and Guest auditor fee of 75.00 EUR
