Communication and Information Technology programme with a highly research-oriented curriculum, teaching from solid fundamentals and state-of-the-art methods to up-to-date content from wireless communications, signal processing, optical communication devices, integrated circuits, RF engineering, sensor principles, machine learning and embedded systems.Core subjects as well as various specialisation modules provide a broad, yet in-depth background aimed at the above areas and allow for a study focus according to personal interests. By choosing specific modules, an up-to-date specialisation in either Communications Engineering, Communications Circuits and Systems, Intelligent Embedded Systems or Sensor Circuits and Systems is achieved.

The application process consists of two parts - a pre-application phase for all applicants, followed by a full application for selected pre-applicants. A first assessment of your qualification will be given after you enter all the required information in our pre-application form. As a second step, after we receive your full application, we check whether your qualification is suitable for successfully attending Communication and Information Technology.

Internship is not mandatory, but is optional during studies. If possible, we recommend doing an internship.

The research-oriented Media and Communication Science Master program is a social-scientific oriented program whose main objective is the exploration of media communication. With the Bachelor in Information Systems you will acquire exciting knowledge in the fields of business and information processing systems. Whether Programming, Hacking and IT Security or E-Business - the Bachelor of Business Informatics brings you closer to various subject areas and thus combines the basis of business administration with current trends and challenges of business informatics. If you are studying Business Informatics, your studies will be strongly oriented towards the current industry change with consulting projects, workshops and experienced lecturers from the business world. You will also gain your first professional experience through integrated internships at home or abroad.
Note: The program can also be completed under 7 semester duration within global track that includes an integrated semester abroad in the fourth semester. During the semester abroad, you will not only get to know international IT trends, but also acquire valuable intercultural and linguistic skills.

It is mandatory to do an internship. It is easier to find internship when it is mandatory. 3-6 months is most common.

Business Informatics

Master in Ecological Engineering deals with preserving ecosystems and protecting the environment. Various types of land use are competing globally for the limited space available. You will learn to understand the effects of these conflicts on ecosystems and to develop interdisciplinary environmental planning. Design sustainable land use strategies, e.g. for resource-conserving agriculture or forestry or for ecologically acceptable wastewater treatment solutions. Design methods to prevent and eliminate environmental problems and deepen your understanding of societal demands.
Note: Course can also be studied on part-time basis (6 semesters or 8 semesters in part time)

The languages of instruction for this program are German and English. This means that you need to complete modules in both German and English in the course of your studies
