The Social Work as a Human Rights Profession is a research-oriented  partially internet-based program  combining the field of social work with human rights issues.Social work and human rights are frequently encountered when working with vulnerable groups such as children or migrants respectively when working on issues related to the right to health  to the social challenge of poverty  to social exclusion  to discrimination with regard to a person’s gender or to the complexity of racism.The main aim of the Social Work as a Human Rights Profession is the translation of the often very abstract and appellative human rights discourse into the theory and practice of social work.This objective is strongly linked to the development of a general professional self-conception based on the “triple mandate of social work”  meaning that the universally known “double mandate of social work” on behalf of the addressees and the society/providers is complemented by a third mandate on behalf of the profession.This consists of science-based theories of action  intervention as well as the principles of the profession’s code of ethics.

Internship is not mandatory, but is optional during studies. If possible, we recommend doing an internship.

The MA Solo Dance Authorship (SODA) is a practice led Master degree that explores body and movement based performative practice within a two year  full time program focusing on students individual trajectory. It seeks to provide a transdisciplinary research frame for graduates and professionals who wish to challenge  extend and transform their artistic practice within an academic structure.

The Zeppelin University in Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance is a state-recognized private-sector foundation university accredited by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry for Science, Research, and the Arts. Zeppelin University has been a foundation university since 2007.

In Friedrichshafen, the university maintains two permanent locations. The ""Seemoser Horn,"" situated on Lake Constance, is home to the former ZU headquarters (SeeCampus / SMH) and larger main campus (ZF Campus) started in 2013.

ZU focused on the integration of social perspective into science and the application of scientific knowledge to real-world situations in both her teaching and research. Research priorities and areas of focus at ZU have been effectively developed over many years and are now largely established. This includes in particular research on family businesses, decision-making, financial systems, cultural production, leadership, innovation, globalization, digitization, consumption and consumer behavior, media, mobility, sustainability, political institutions, and political decision-making as well as administration 4.0 and public management.

The course can be completed for the academic degrees of Bachelor of Arts (8 semesters / 240 ECTS) as well as the Master of Arts or Master of Science (4 semesters / 120 ECTS), both consecutively and nonconsecutively.
