The “International Business and Finance” (IBF) Master program is a truly global program.The program design is also based on international standards and
benchmarks  by including topics like International Corporate Finance  Mergers and Acquisitions  International Banking (incl. Investment Banking)  International Management and Corporate Strategy theories.Topics and case studies are  by nature  indeed truly global management issues to be solved.The lectures are taught entirely in English.The kick-off of our IBF-Master is a 3-day Boot-Camp in a nice castle near Augsburg where we will start to work on international business and corporate finance issues and how to overcome “the culture clash”.Throughout our entire program you will be exposed to an international setting together with a global peer group.

Applications for admission to the IBF Master program are submitted exclusively on the university’s

You can only use the forms provided by the Augsburg UAS for this purpose. The application process at
Augsburg UAS is digital. However  the online application alone is not sufficient! You must print out the
completed online application  sign it and upload it with the required documents to the online application portal. Please note that all application documents must be uploaded by the end of the application
deadline.

Internship is not mandatory, but is optional during studies. If possible, we recommend doing an internship.

The semester fee of 127.50 EUR comprises the student Services fee of 62.00 EUR and  semester ticket of 65.50 EUR

An English test (TOEFL or IELTS) is mandatory for all non-native speakers (only exception US  UK).

Step 1:
As a first step  you should send your application documents as one PDF-File by Email (sport-mapah@fau.de) directly to the Department of Sport Science and Sport. Please do not use the application portal of our university! You will receive a confirmation Email that we have received your application within three working days. Applications will be reviewed by the Department within 6 weeks of receiving the complete application package. Applicants will be informed of the outcome of the evaluation process by Email.

Step 2:
As a second step  applicants who have passed the evaluation by the Department of Sport Science and Sport will be asked to take part in the formal admission process conducted by the central university administration. Applicants will receive assistance guiding them through the formal application process. One important thing is changing: From January 2022  it will no longer be necessary to submit hard copies of your documents (certificates  language certificates  etc.). The entire process of step 1 and step 2 will be done online using electronic documents! The central university administration will conduct a formal check of the applicants' degree certificates. Applicants who pass this second evaluation process will receive an official letter of admission to the MA Programme in Spring/Summer.

For international applicants:
As international (i.e. non-European Union) students will need the formal admission letter in order to apply for a visa to Germany  these applicants are strongly encouraged to file their application with the Department of Sport Science as soon as possible.

If the application to the Department of Sport Science and Sport (Step 1) is submitted later than in February 2022  the full two-step application procedure may not be completed on time to receive a visa for the 2022 fall term.

It is mandatory to do an internship. It is easier to find internship when it is mandatory. 3-6 months is most common.

Applicants not providing CEFR B2 level language certificates may have to take an additional English language exam at the University Language Center prior to enrollment  regardless of the score achieved in other language tests
