The Master program in Digital Media and Society is focuses at the development of digitization. As part of these processes, the role of media and communication devices  is changing as well. Its aim is to qualify students for media planning and decision-making positions in a datafied society. The interdisciplinary approach and the focus on current research project and relevant social challenges of the program prepares graduates for a number of professional roles. In addition to working in different capacities within the media industries, graduates can contribute in various capacities within businesses, NGOs and governmental institutions.

Digital Media and Society

The interdisciplinary course of study Crop Protection unifies the subject areas that deal with the cause, development and spread of damage to crops, the development and application of efficient preventative and curative measures to fight damage as well as their effects on environment and society. A broad range of disciplines including plant pathology, nematology, entomology, virology, weed science, pesticide use, legislation and toxicology, molecular phytopathology, mycotoxin research, plant nutrition, plant breeding and plant biotechnology. Graduated students will be able to select and combine suitable technologies to solve the problems of crop protection and increase crop production efficiency.


The Semester contributions totalling 350.48 EUR must be paid each semester. Crop Protection

University of Göttingen

Euroculture is a Master programme that offers specialized knowledge and methodological and social competence which help students to work in a problem- and project-oriented way even beyond the usual subject-specific limitations, and to present the results in an adequate manner. The program supports students in familiarizing with the methodology of interdisciplinary research and offers in-depth understanding of political, sociological, historical, or cultural-scientific point of view.  This program is unique because it offers a joint, integrated programme run in a Consortium of twelve renown universities on four continents. 

Native speakers, Students who have studied at least one year full-time in an English-taught university programme, Students who completed an entire Bachelor programme in English are exempt from providing proof of language proficiency 

Euroculture

In this Bachelor course students will deal with literature from all regions of the world. The large number of European and non-European philologies at the University of Göttingen allows for a global study of literature. The course is aimed at prospective students who want to turn their interest in literature into their profession. It is possible to choose a double-degree major with the University of Arizona (Tucson, USA) or with East China Normal University in Shanghai (Shanghai, China). The range of possible career prospects is reflected in the field of Publishing, media, literature houses and libraries - this course offers a basis for all literature-related jobs.

World Literature

The aim of the Master programme is to provide students with an in-depth understanding of the research and working methods of Digital Humanities, and to enable them to specialise in a particular area. Students will demonstrate their ability to work independently, scientifically and in a reflective manner in the context of existing research, specifically in the course of a Master thesis. After successfully graduating, students are familiar with the most important Digital Humanities methods for collecting, analysing and presenting data in the humanities and can apply them in their final thesis as well as later in their careers. In addition, they will be able to evaluate and further develop various procedures and research on the basis of digital data processing in the corresponding areas of Digital Humanities. The course is thus aimed at all professions in the field of social and cultural-historical topics and digital technologies.

Digital Humanities

The Master Programme in International Agribusiness and Rural Development is designed to prepare highly qualified professionals who wish to pursue a career within the private or public sector, research or non-governmental organizations in agribusiness and rural development. As a research-oriented programme, strong emphasis is placed on acquiring methodological research skills in the fields of econometrics, marketing and social sciences. Students will develop solid economic and business skills and have the opportunity to broaden their understanding of the agricultural and food sector at international level. The program is offered in cooperation with University of Talca, Chile and Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), Indonesia.

Exempted from the requirement to provide proof of language proficiency are students whose first language is English and students with at least two-year study or work experience in an English-speaking country

International Agribusiness Rural Development

Master programme in Public Sector Innovation and E-Governance aims to provide students with the knowledge, skills and methods necessary to meet the academic and professional standards in the fields of public management, information systems and e-Governance. Programme is offered in cooperation with the Katholieke Universiteit (KU) Leuven in Belgium and the Tallinn University of Technology in Estonia. Students complete their first semester at the KU Leuven, spend their second semester at the University of Münster, and finish in Tallinn in their third semester.

The Biology Master degree programme is a research oriented course of studies which aims to provide in depth training in the techniques and methods used in modern biology and related fields. The programme takes an interdisciplinary approach necessary for adequately conveying the complexity of biological sciences, and thus prepares students to work independently in industry, business, research or at other private or public institutions. The Master degree prepares students to acquire an independent research or organizational role in industry, economy or public service. Biology

Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg

The Master program allows students to expand and deepen the skills, specialized knowledge, and methodological skills that they attained in  previous studies. They will gain an overview of the current status of research in the fields of biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics, genomics, systems biology, and biotechnology. The skills they acquire in the Master program qualify them for work in research, teaching, and development, for example at universities and other scientific institutions, as well as biotech or biomedical companies, and also in administration and management.Students will focus on the dynamics and processes of protein synthesis and function, as well as their interactions at the intra- and extracellular levels. These processes are becoming relevant for such practical applications as diagnosis and therapy for neurodegenerative illnesses and tumorigenesis. Molecular biology, in contrast, studies molecular processes at the level of cells and organisms, opening up new prospects in genome research, cellular and systems biology, and plant and animal physiology.

Biochemistry and Molecular Biology

University of Potsdam

Bachelor in Teaching degree at primary, junior high, secondary and comprehensive schools (HRSGe) consists of a 6-semester degree regardless of the chosen type of teacher training.  The University of Siegen offers a basic teacher training course, ie there is a close interlinking of the specialist studies with subject didactic and educational content from the beginning of the Bachelor degree.

University of Siegen

Master of Education with Teaching at lower secondary/intermediate secondary school level and comprehensive Schools serves to deepen the scientific knowledge in the technical, didactic and educational areas. The aim of the Master program is to acquire up-to-date knowledge and to convey the ability to apply this to known and new problems, especially in school practice, as well as to independently acquire new knowledge and skills after graduation and is therefore more application-oriented.

Master program in German and European Economic Law is based on the knowledge already acquired in the DEWR Bachelor degree program and deepens areas of practical relevance in a sophisticated manner. In addition to broad legal content and economic topics, the focus is on self-determined specialization. The education is interdisciplinary, i.e. interdisciplinary in law (approximately 80 percentage) and business administration and economics (approximately 20 percentage).
