Double Master Programme in Demography and Social Inequality emphasis on topics related to demographic changes and dimensions of social inequalities, students receive a strong training in quantitative research methods and data analysis tools, learn how to apply these methods and tools to research questions related to migration, education, health, income and changing family structures, develop interdisciplinary research skills and gain in-depth views of human demographic behaviour, and get a better understanding of current issues related to social inequalities and cohesion. Students study first year at the University of Cologne and second year at the University of Groningen.

The Semester contributions totalling 309.15 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes AStA contribution fee 10.00 EUR, Student Sport fee 1.75 EUR, NRW semester ticket fee 201.40 EUR, Faculty Assignment fee 2.50 EUR, Administrative and hardship contribution fee 3.50 EUR and KStW fee 90.00 EUR
There are no tuition fees at the University of Cologne. At the University of Groningen, EU/EEA students have to pay tuition fee of 2,209 EUR and Non-EU/EEA students have to pay tuition fee of 16,201 EUR during the second year of studies
Minimum requirement includes a Bachelor degree in relevant discipline or equivalent with at least 18 ECTS in the fields of Sociology and/or Social Psychology and at least 12 ECTS in the fields of Methods in Quantitative Social Sciences and/or Applied Quantitative Empirical Social Research and/or Statistics with at least grade of 2.7 (German grade).
As a part of selection process applicants will be invited for an interview (face-to-face or online).
English native speakers are exempt from proving language proficiency
Applicants from China, India and Vietnam are required to submit APS certificate
Additionally, official description of the content taken during Bachelor courses must be submitted
