The MA program in North American Studies focuses on historical developments, structures, and institutions in North American that are analyzed and interpreted in their respective cultural, economic, literary, political, and social contexts. The program provides in-depth knowledge of North American in the following six disciplines: politics, sociology, literature, economics, culture and history. Students may choose two areas of concentration (out of the six disciplines listed above). In addition, interdisciplinary and regional aspects and issues are addressed in compulsory courses on current topics and research fields in North American.

The MA Serial Storytelling at the ifs is Europe’s first Master Programme focusing on collaborative writing for series. Molecular biotechnology is the science of elucidating natural, biological processes and their transfer to other areas of application and deals with the research of micro-organisms, their communication and metabolic pathways as well as the metabolites they produce and their effects on other organisms.  The aim of the course is to train research biotechnologists who have solid specialist knowledge and skills in the field of biochemistry and physiology. The course thus lays the foundations for later interdisciplinary work in a research-oriented environment. Molecular Biotechnology

During studies in the Master program students will engage with core topics in political and administrative science research from an international and comparative perspective. National and International Administration and Policy Fast-Track

University of Potsdam

Master in Economic geography provides information about the intersection of economics and geography in which economic aspects of geography and the geographical aspects of the economy. Students learn how to explain complex interrelations using theoretical knowledge, how to empirically investigate regional development processes, and how to develop sound regional policy strategies for action.
The double degree track is not a stand-alone programme, but an elective option in the Master programme in economic geography. Interested students indicate that they wish to take this option when applying for the Master programme. Five study places are allocated each year via an internal procedure. Master degree programme in Economic Geography at Leibniz Universität Hannover is available to some students as a double degree programme with the University of Groningen. Students who pursue the double degree track spend their first year in Hannover, and the second year in Groningen.
