IMIS Online as a Master of Arts degree in International Management and Information Systems prepares students for leadership roles in a globalised economy where the intelligent use of IT systems is becoming a critical success factor. The program is aimed at professionals and is designed in such a way that they do not have to give up their jobs but can study part-time and primarily online (also outside Germany). Therefore, IMIS Online is characterized by a reduced workload. In addition, online-learning courses enable studying anywhere and anytime.

Internship is not mandatory, but is optional during studies. If possible, we recommend doing an internship.

The burden of English language proof does not apply to applicants who have acquired their general or subject-linked higher education entrance qualification at a German institution

The Master degree in Management prepares you for your future as a manager in business and teaches you the management skills you need to take on management tasks. This includes technical and analytical expertise as well as analytical and quantitative methodological skills that help you to deal with professional challenges. In addition to the technical focus, the Management course aims at your social and personal development. In particular, this includes the ability to work together with others in a goal-oriented manner in interdisciplinary, cross-functional and international teams and to take on management tasks. In addition, in-depth scientific skills are taught in this course.
Note: The course (120 ECTS) can be studied in two part-time versions (6 or 8 semesters). A version with 90 ECTS points is also offered, which can be studied part-time (6 semesters).

Mathematical models make it possible to translate socioeconomic and technical problems into mathematical language, which in turn helps to solve these problems. The Mathematical Modelling in Engineering (MathMods) program focuses on mathematical features common to the most diverse technical and engineering disciplines. Master program imparts both theoretical as well as practical knowledge of mathematical modeling, combined with international training at five leading European research institutions. This program, which is funded by the European Union, is offered jointly by the Università Degli Studi di L'Aquila, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Politechnika Gdańska, Université de Nice-Sophia Antipolis, and Universität Hamburg.

Mathematical Modelling in Engineering

Data Science combine skills in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics and specific knowledge in an application domain. The Master programme is research oriented and should enable students to carry out scientific research projects autonomously. Moreover students are taught how to communicate their insights and reflect on the ethical impacts of collecting and analysing large amounts of data as well as the consequences of automated data driven decision making. Students  can choose between Computational Neuroscience, Bioinformatics, Medical Data Science and Digital Humanities as domains.

The interdisciplinarily Master degree in data science combines content from computer science, mathematics, information systems, and the natural sciences. Core courses provide students with an overarching understanding of machine learning and deep learning, statistical data analysis, data assimilation, business analytics, and big data infrastructures. Career paths exist in for example, online commerce; search machines; the finance sector; the automobile, pharmaceutical, and manufacturing industries; meteorology; and climate research. The degree prepares graduates for a career as a manager or highly qualified expert in a company, for founding a company of your own, or for completing a PhD and pursuing a research career in computer science, mathematics, or the natural sciences.
