The Master program Linguistics qualifies students to make theoretically founded and empirically based statements about different aspects of “language” and to investigate them further in independent research-oriented work. To this end, the study expands and deepens the theoretical foundations and techniques of linguistic language description. In addition, the focus is on dealing with the current state of research and current research initiatives. The goal is to guide the students to independent conception and execution of research work.

Linguistics

This degree programme is designed for students who appreciate rigorous mathematical analysis or scientific computing to predict phenomena or to optimize processes in the sciences and in engineering. Students acquire a firm grounding in mathematical modelling and applied analysis as well as in high performance computing. They learn to derive mathematical models and to reflect upon the models' properties and limitations. CAM aims at making students familiar with current research topics in applied mathematics.

The semester fee of 117.50 EUR consist of Student Service fee and the contribution for the semester ticket

Computational and Applied Mathematics

In cooperation with the University of Liège (Belgium), Ecole Centrale de Nantes (France), Polytechnic University of Madrid (Spain), University of Genoa (Italy), Technical University of Szczecin (Poland) and the University of Galatz (Romania), the university offers Rostock offers an Erasmus Mundus Master degree in EMship - Integrated Advanced Ship Design. This degree is an interdisciplinary combination of technical, scientific and management skills obtained through a worldwide unique qualification programme offering excellent career opportunities to graduates.

The language of instruction is English.
Students with knowledge of German can also study modules in German.

The Semester contributions totaling 214 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Semester ticket fee 130.00 EUR, Student union fee 75.00 EUR and Student body fee 9.00 EUR

The Semester contributions totaling 155.70 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Student Union Fee 77.70 EUR, Administrative Fee 70 EUR and Student Union AStA 8 EUR

Geomatics

International Business (International Entrepreneurship) - Dual

Joint European Master in Interdisciplinary Mathematics addresses several fields of interest from applied disciplines, specifically in biology and medicine on the one side, and industry and manufacturing on the other side. Our students acquire modelling skills and computational expertise needed to tackle practical problems in those fields, with a wide range of modelling techniques. However, each specialization branch provides more specific skills that are best suited to face problems arising in a selected list of contexts.
Note: All students will spend the first semester at UAQ. For the second semester, the cohort is split into two groups, one spending second semester in Hamburg (TUHH), the other one in Vienna (TUW).

The Semester contributions totaling 338.80 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Student self-administration (AStA) fee 18.40 EUR, Student Union fee 85.00 EUR, Semester Ticket fee 182.40 EUR, Semester Ticket hardship fee 3.00 EUR and Administration fee 50 EUR

Applicants who have conducted their university or secondary-school studies in an English-speaking institution will only have to verify that English is the medium of instruction in such institutions (to this purpose, you will find a dedicated section in the application form - no certificate submission required)

Joint European Master in Interdisciplinary Mathematics

The Bachelor of Arts with American studies learn the theoretical fundamentals of the subject as well as practical language skills and intercultural competence. This program intended for students with a wide-ranging interest in the languages, the literature, the cultures, and the history of North American.  American Studies is interdisciplinary and includes literature, culture, history, social policy, and politics. The programme consists of a core with 9 modules and a minor with 10 modules as part of programme structure.

 The protection and the sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems are at the center of the MSc Environmental Sciences programme at Freiburg University. Environmental Sciences is a comparatively young discipline, which deals with the impact of humans on the environment. The Environmental Sciences are shaped by interdisciplinary links with Forest Sciences, Geosciences, Geography and Hydrology. By combining theory-driven modules with a number of application-oriented modules, students are provided with opportunities to apply and develop strategies for environmental problems at a regional, national and international level. 

The Semester contributions totaling 161 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Students union fee (SWFR) 84 EUR, Administrative fee 70 EUR and student council fee 7 EUR

Environmental Sciences

The international Master programme in Mineral Resource and Process Engineering research-oriented engineering program. Students of this Master programme can choose between the majors Mineral Resource Engineering and Process Engineering and Refining. In addition to engineering modules, the programme also teaches management Competencies preparing graduates for leadership positions.

The languages ​​of instruction are English and German; the Mineral Resource Engineering major can also be completed entirely in English.
