The Environmental and Resource Management study programme offers an integrated approach to current environmental issues. Recognising that these issues can no longer be solved by a single discipline  the programme combines the knowledge of several closely related fields. Classes are offered in fundamental technical subjects as well as in natural sciences  sociology  and economics. Starting from this basis  more specific courses deal with current environmental issues such as techniques of resource protection  concepts of environmental planning  risk and impact assessment  as well as socioeconomic implications. The acquisition of management and social skills  and technical and scientific knowledge are therefore highly valued and considered indispensable.

Higher education entrance qualification German
All applicants with a German higher education entrance qualification can apply directly to the myBTU portal for their desired course of study programme. This applied also for students who are or were already enrolled at one of the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg locations and would like to apply for a Bachelor's study programme or a change of study programme.

Higher education entrance qualification Foreign
Students who received their last entrance qualification abroad and wish to apply for a Bachelor's programme have to apply via My assist.

Internship is not mandatory, but is optional during studies. If possible, we recommend doing an internship.

Applicants with a higher education entrance qualification from Australia  Canada  Ireland  New Zealand  Great Britain incl. Northern Ireland or the United States of American do not have to submit a separate proof of English language skills

Since the degree course is about people in the working world, an important component will be a module in business ethics, reflecting on the responsibility of managers and the role of companies in modern society.

The Fachhochschule Wedel University of Applied Sciences gGmbH is one of the few private but non-profit universities of applied sciences in Germany.  It is founded in 1948.

Well-coordinated bachelor's and master's courses in computer science, technology, and business are among the available courses. Campus space measures 20,000 square meters. Here, 1,300 students use contemporary workshops, labs, and computer facilities.

The dual study concept is an option for all courses. The FH Wedel University of Applied Sciences is a university of applied sciences, hence its research and teaching are more practical in nature than those at universities. Students who are also working students apply their knowledge through exercises, projects, or other activities.

Since 1996, the university has been providing a semester abroad. It initially depended on collaboration with universities abroad. Later, new European nations were integrated through the Erasmus program. The institution presently collaborates with about 30 partner universities across the globe.

Around 200 businesses collaborate especially closely with the Wedel University of Applied Sciences as Wedeler Hochschulbund eV (WHB) members. Through the Internship and Job Exchange, you are seeking for students and recent graduates for internships, theses, and permanent positions. They may also contribute their knowledge in lectures and presentations by illuminating them with examples from their day-to-day jobs. The FH Wedel collaborates with about 80 partner companies to offer dual study locations on a regular basis. Additionally, FH Wedel partners enable their own funding programs.
