The Master degree program 'Energy and Environmental Management - Industrial Countries' provides the necessary knowledge and skills to design the energy system required for the future. To cope with the biggest challenge of the 21st century  man-made climate change  we must convert 100% of the world's energy supply to renewable energy sources over the next few decades and to optimize the supply and use of energy.

Both the teaching and research work within the Master program focuses on the transformation from fossil energy systems to 100% renewable energy systems in order to achieve the goal of having a maximum increase of the global average temperature of 1.5°C by the year 2050. In order to achieve this  energy system models are built  and measures are developed to allow for the implementation of renewable energy systems. Additionally  political economy studies help to identify barriers of the transformation and to develop appropriate local solutions. In doing so  we do not lose sight of the socially just and environmentally compatible perspectives in addition to the technical and economic perspectives. The possibilities of energy sufficiency and sustainability as well as the investigation of justice and gender aspects also play special role within the team’s research.



Courses in the degree program 'Industrialized Countries' are mainly taught in English. Only individual elective modules are in German. This enables students without German language skills to complete the Master degree program in Energy and Environmental Management.

Euromasters prepares students for a career in business, administration, diplomacy, policy formulation and research. The international Master program focuses on the comparative analysis of European polity, politics and policy. The four-semester full-time program is conducted by the European American University Consortium (EAUC): University of Bath, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Sciences Po Grenoble and the Università degli Studi di Siena.
The international MA programme focuses on the comparative analysis of European polity, politics and policy. It is operated by the European American University Consortium (EAUC). This vast network of renowned universities gives you the unique opportunity to complete the programme at a minimum of two and up to three different universities in Europe. Therefore, you do not simply pursue a European Studies degree, but experience Europe from the perspective of multiple countries, their (academic) cultures and languages. After the successful completion of all study requirements you are awarded a Joint Degree (MA in Contemporary European Studies) by the University of Bath on behalf of the EAUC.

The English language certificate does not need to be provided by native English speakers and students who completed their 3-year undergraduate degree in English speaking country. If you do not currently have an English language certificate, you can apply without, and a conditional offer provided to take a suitable test before the start of the programme

Social Sciences (Euromasters)

The European Master in Translational Cosmetic and Dermatological Sciences trains the next generation of Research and Development leaders in the dermatological and dermocosmetic field, but at the same time provides sufficient know-how to allow graduates to work in other pharmaceutical and cosmetic Research and Development sectors. The aggregate market for medicines and cosmetics in the world is over two trillion euros, 10% of which is solely for skin disorders. EMOTION is a two-year Master degree. All courses are taught in English and students will study in at least two of the partner Universities. In the last semester, a personalized program will bring the student to perform her/his thesis work either in industry or in academia.
EMOTION is open to all motivated and bright students that want to undertake a career in Research and Development, contributing to the development of new drugs or new cosmetics. The program is focused on skin and provides dedicated workshops to foster tomorrow’s leaders in the field.
The EMOTION consortium is composed of the University of Piemonte Orientale (UPO; Italy), the University Miguel Hernández (UMH; Spain), the University of Namur (UNAMUR; Belgium), and Humboldt University (HU; Germany) via a collaboration with Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin.

European Master on Translational Cosmetic and Dermatological Sciences

The Master degree in economics provides a comprehensive overview of the various disciplines of business administration and economics and the underlying mathematical and theoretical methods. Students gain a comprehensive insight into central economic issues and their analysis. 

The Semester contributions totaling 143.60 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Public transport pass (Semesterticket) fee 81.60 EUR and Student union fee 62.00 EUR

Erasmus Mundus Master Programme in Evolutionary Biology is a research-oriented Master programme for talented and motivated students who are interested in understanding evolution in all Its facets. It is a joint project between four European universities (University of Groningen, Netherlands; Ludwig Maximilians University of Munich, Germany; Uppsala University, Sweden; University of Montpellier, France) as partners and Harvard University (USA) and University of Lausanne (Switzerland) as associated partners.
