The postgraduate course in British studies is an interdisciplinary teaching programme over 2 years. Having successfully completed the Certificate Phase during the first year, students receive a British Studies certificate. After successful completion of the entire course, students are awarded the degree M.A. British Studies. The Certificate Phase comprises about 30 weeks of teaching stretching over 2 semesters. The first semester (Core Programme) consists of a series of compulsory lectures and seminars. English Literatures and Cultures

University of Tübingen

The Master programme, Cellular and Molecular Biology of Plants, provides students with an understanding of the manifold life processes in plants at biochemical, molecular, cellular and physiological levels. The focus of the course is on the in-depth scientific investigation of the molecular mechanisms that control the processes of plant development and adaptation to biotic and abiotic environments and enable the interplay of the developmental and adaptive processes.

Course language is English. Some individual required elective courses are conducted in German

Cellular and Molecular Biology of Plants

The Master in Economics and Finance combines the strengths in economics, finance and econometrics to endow graduates with the skills needed to address issues of financial instruments designed for risk management, and the tools of modern econometric analysis. Economics and Finance

Master of Science in European Economics is a unique double-degree program offering a comprehensive and flexible graduate level economics education combined with an integrated year of study in either Pavia, Italy, Nottingham, England or Marseille, France. Students spend one year at the University of Tübingen and one year at the partner university of their choice, either the Università degli studi di Pavia, the University of Nottingham or Aix-Marseille Université.

The Master of Science programme in Management and Economics offers a unique education by combining state-of-the-art management tools with game-theoretic concepts. The courses offered in the program deal with the strategic behavior of competing firms and focus on implementing management tools within the firms to provide an informational basis for successful business strategies. Moreover, the program gives students extensive insights in the fields of managerial economics, personnel economics, and industrial organization.

Management and Economics

This Bachelor program will enable students to achieve excellence in academic English, linguistic analysis, cultural studies, as well as the interpretation and evaluation of literary texts. The program may be studied as a major or minor subject. It consists of four core aspects: Academic English, Cultural Studies, Linguistics and Literary Studies. Students in English and American Studies develop the skills – critical thinking and analysis, research design and synthesis, academic writing and presentation – that will prepare them for a variety of careers in academic research and teaching, publishing, journalism, new media, cultural management, public administration, international organizations, consulting, and marketing and sales.

English and American studies Major subject

English Studies is offered as a teaching subject (or supplementary teaching subject) within the Bachelor programme Technical Education. As first subject, a vocational subject must be studied. Students who take the subject of English Studies at Leibniz Universität gain in-depth knowledge of literature, cultural studies, linguistics and teaching methodology. Students expand on their knowledge of the English language in language practice courses, offered by native speakers at the English Department.
