The Intercultural Conflict Management Master programme revolves around the premise that social conflicts materialize in the space of manifold interrelated social worlds. Accordingly  social conflicts never correspond with the space of one particular social world  but they represent an overarching continuum which stretches out over the space of several intermingled social worlds. For this reason  the programme is structured into four interrelated Area of studies which break down social conflicts from distinct but intertwined perspectives  in order to bring forward social actions aimed at the participatory resolution of conflicts: A “Social World and Power Relations”  B “Research  Action  and Networking”  C “Specialization Seminars and Workshops”  and D “Thesis and Colloquia”.These four Area of study are not to be conceptualized as accumulative elements  but they are inherently correlated and come about in parallel from the beginning up to the end of the programme.
The M.A. programme will be of most interest to individuals who are professionally active or have an academic interest in environments characterised by cultural diversity and conflict. These elements are frequently encountered in multi-ethnic contexts where competing group interests exist and where individuals have regulatory/control responsibilities requiring additional intercultural competence and mediation abilities.

MBA for Non-Business People

The Bachelor degree in International Business and Technology (IBT) offers a unique combination of international business, a technical specialization and two foreign languages. Our students later work as industrial engineers (BEng) in an international work environment. You will learn the language of engineering and natural sciences as well as that of economists and use them in an internationally oriented company. 
The study program initially covers the basis of economics and technology as well as two foreign languages. From the third semester, the students specialize in a subject (natural science and technology, electrical engineering or mechanical engineering) and study this at the participating faculties.
Note:  Dual study options enable applicants not only to gain practical experience concurrently with your studies, dual models also offer financial security. Dual study options link a university degree with either a regular apprenticeship (academic studies and vocational training) or an intensive practical phase (studies with intensive in-company training).

During the first semester, course instruction will be 100% in English. In the second semester there will be one course "Introduction into Physics" in German. Starting from the third semester all courses in your technical specialization will be taught in German.
