The BA Graphic Design and Visual Communication program provides students with the skills and specialized knowledge to develop and apply creative and responsible solutions in the field of graphic design. The program is firmly grounded in the vibrant city of Berlin but taught exclusively in English and designed to prepare graduates for an international creative career. In comprehensive hands-on projects students experience the entire workflow from research and ideation to technical implementation. They design projects across a variety of media (apps  animations  posters  books  magazines  brand identities  websites) and learn to communicate their ideas in shifting contexts.

All BA courses at Berlin International are taught in English.

Internship is not mandatory, but is optional during studies. If possible, we recommend doing an internship.

If you have not completed high school in a majority-English speaking country (ie. It will be hosted via the software MS Teams and participation can only be offered after an application to one of our programs

The Master in Data Science will qualify students to analyse big data efficiently and to create systems/solutions for Machine Learning. Therefore they will be all set for future industrial demands. The focus areas of this Data Science Master are Urban Technologies and Intelligent Machines and is explicitly interdisciplinary constructed. After the basic knowledge of Data Science (as Computer Science and Statistics) students will be taught about a wide range of Machine Learning methods.

Most of the resources in the field of data science are in English and the MSc Programme will be taught exclusively in English.

The Master degree program data science Due to the constant increase in data volumes and data complexity  Data Science has created a new  interdisciplinary field of work that covers a wide range of aspects of data analysis  such as handling large amounts of data  statistical modelling  visualisation  pattern recognition with machine learning methods  but also ethical and legal questions. Data Scientists are urgently needed for many socially significant developments  e.g. in the areas of intelligent vehicles or housing  artificial intelligence or social media.

The international Master degree in Power Engineering is to impart knowledge about sustainable energy supply in a European context. The main focus of the course is the concept of safe  inexpensive and environmentally friendly energy production as one of the most urgent global challenges of the 21st century. The course works closely with regional and national energy suppliers in order to ensure a practical education that enables students to carry out independent and applied research work. The program covers the entire spectrum of energy research in the field of traditional and renewable energies and has an industrial orientation. Some of the lectures and seminars are held by lecturers with practical experience.

Power engineering

The Master program "Non-Destructive Testing" acquire sound basic and specialist knowledge in all areas of NDT (you will find further information in the overview of the study contents).  Small groups enable efficient and individual learning  supported by sound scientific supervision in theoretical and practical exercises.  Students are familiarized with modern equipment that is fundamental to all NDT methods. The practical exercises can take place in several laboratories. An example can be seen in the picture below  where a student is working in one of the laboratories of the Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung (BAM).



It is mandatory to do an internship. It is easier to find internship when it is mandatory. 3-6 months is most common.

The Master  programme in Visual Computing teaches students the fundamental principles, processes and applications of computer-assisted processing of visual information. Students will become acquainted with the theory and practice of image analysis and pattern recognition.
