The Master degree program in Geography of Environmental Risks and Human Security is a joint degree program offered by the Department of Geography of the University of Bonn and the Institute for Environment and Human Security of United Nations University. The program explores the complex interrelationships between environmental risks and human security as well as their impact on the interactions between humans and their environment (vulnerability, resilience, adaptation).

The Semester contributions totaling 320.11 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Student self administration fee 12.00 EUR, Social services for student fee 0.75 EUR, Allowance for student council fee 1.50 EUR, Support fund for students fee 0.01 EUR, University Sports fee 0.85 EUR, Culture pass fee 3.00 EUR, Student transit passes fee 201.40 EUR, Special account for mobility fee 0.60 EUR and Contribution to the Student union fee fee 100.00 EUR
Minimum requirement includes a first higher education qualification (Bachelor degree) in Geography or a related/comparable professionally certified study program with at least grade of 2.5 or local equivalent.
Out of all higher education qualifications earned (Bachelor, Master, additional academic coursework, etc.) applicants must have accumulated at least 100 ECTS within courses related to the three following areas: Human Geography and Social Sciences with a focus on spatial patterns, society, development; Science methodology and empirical research methods; Physical Geography, Geosciences and Environmental Sciences with a focus on Earth System Science.
Applicants from China, India or Vietnam need to submit APS certificate
