Students attend courses from the following main areas: Development of Plant Cells and Ultrastructure, Plant Biochemistry, Physiology and Molecular Biology as well as Plant Systematics and Biodiversity.

Plant Sciences

The environmental physics program focuses on understanding the complex relationships between atmosphere, hydrosphere, cryosphere, solid earth and climate. Special emphasis is placed on gaining experience in the application of state-of-the-art experimental methods, numerical data analysis using supercomputers and data interpretation via latest models.  The Institute of Environmental Physics (IUP), and the Alfred Wegener Institute, Helmholtz-Centre for Polar and Marine Research (AWI), are jointly undertaking the teaching of the program.

Environmental Physics

University of Bremen

The Master program in Marine Biology addresses important concepts of marine biology and biological oceanography as well as the related disciplines of marine geosciences, physical oceanography, marine chemistry and marine geochemistry. Research interests can be individually pursued in research groups of the university
and cooperating institutions, for example in ecological modeling, conservation and climate change, marine biodiversity, coastal ecology, marine molecular biology,
fisheries biology, and aquaculture. Employment opportunities for Marine Biologists exist in research and development, in the fishing and aquaculture industry as well as in the environmental conservation and management sector at governmental agencies or within NGOs and IGOs. 

Marine Biology

The international Master program Materials Chemistry and Mineralogy deals with a broad range of natural materials, with the spectrum of topics from practice and basic research spanning the entire range from raw material to end product. The profile focuses on natural and technically produced inorganic, non-metallic materials, and structural characterisation of volume and surface properties. The degree programme opens up numerous fields of activity for graduates in industrial sectors such as glass and ceramics, building materials and chemistry, waste disposal and landfill management, electronics, paper, paints, pharmaceuticals, steel and other material-related areas, and on the other hand in state and industrial institutions with laboratories for the analysis and characterisation of materials.

Materials Chemistry and Mineralogy

Master program in English Studies offers an in-depth, research-oriented examination of the Anglophone language, literature and culture.  On the basis of a previous Bachelor degree in English Studies or a comparable relevant Bachelor degree, the Master degree in English Studies provides in-depth scientific and research-oriented training in the field of English linguistics and in the field of Anglophone literatures and cultures.

Double Master Programme in Health Economics and Management helps students to get a better understanding of the challenges of today's complex and rapidly changing healthcare sector, receive a training in management, economic and innovation concepts and research methods, and learn how to apply these methods to address current and future healthcare challenges on a national or international scale.
After successful studies, you will graduate with both Master degrees: a Master of Science in Health Economics from the University of Cologne and a Master of Science in Healthcare Policy, Innovation and Management from Maastricht University.

The Master program Matter to Life at the University of Göttingen is an interdisciplinary research-oriented course of study that qualifies for demanding tasks in research and development and leads to a Master of Science. The program is part of the Max Planck School Matter to Life, a joint initiative of several German universities and research institutes. Two different specific foci in Matter to Life is offered in this program in University of Göttingen and  Heidelberg University.

The Master program in Neurosciences offers excellent study and research conditions to prepare aspiring young scientists for a professional career in academia or science-related professions in the private or public sector. Neurosciences

The overall vision of the Master programme is to deliver graduates who are experts in animal breeding and genetics, with different specialisations depending on their chosen study track. European Master in Animal Breeding and Genetics[ERASMUS]

Students after completing the Bachelor degree in the polyvalent two-subject Bachelor degree with a teaching option (BA and BSc.), can continue with a teaching-related Master degree (M.Ed.) either with a focus on primary school or secondary school . Only when successfully completed their Master degree they can go into the preparatory service (so-called traineeship).

The Semester contributions totalling 416.32 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Inexpensive meals in mensa of the university and Free public transport in the region of Hildesheim / Hannover

Master of Science program in Mathematics is targeted at students with the university degree Bachelor of Science in mathematics or an equivalent subject. The following minors can be chosen: Natural sciences and technology (computer science, mechanical engineering or physics), Business mathematics (economy or business information systems), or Philosophy. The degree program teaches skills for analysis of abstract structures, recognising, phrasing and solving problems in mathematics and the minor.
