The BA Architecture program provides students with the skills and specialized knowledge to develop and apply creative and responsible solutions in the field of architecture. The program is firmly grounded in the vibrant city of Berlin but taught exclusively in English. It is designed to help students understand their role and responsibility as architects in any given physical and cultural context – on either a local or a global level. Upon completing the program  graduates will be able to apply their understanding of spaces as a whole and use their design skills and their knowledge of the relationships between built environment  Technology  art  and geographical  social  sociocultural  and political contexts to solve complex architectural challenges.

Internship is not mandatory, but is optional during studies. If possible, we recommend doing an internship.

The Master program genome based system technology course gives access to a new interdisciplinary research field  systems biology  where molecular life science and modern physico-chemical techniques and mathematical-bioinformatic methods synergize.Systems biology comprises a lot of disciplines. In this field biology joins forces with e.g. bioinformatics  mathematics and physics. The common target is to understand the functionality of cells  organs or even complete organisms.
With a Master degree in "Genome Based Systems Biology" you can e.g. work on biotechnological projects  study diseases or investigate alternative forms of energy. You are well prepared for a career as well in science as in economy.
This research oriented Master course  with less than 18 students per academic year  enables an intensive supervision and sufficient time to learn the use of complex instruments and evaluate and analyze complex data.
This interdisciplinary Master course follows the tradition of Bielefeld University - communication and cooperation are therefore deeply embedded.Aim of systems biology is to establish computer-based models of processes in the living cell allowing to predict the performance of metabolic pathways  cells  organs or whole organisms under certain conditions.

All courses and lectures are given either in German or in English. Therefore German as well as English language skills are prerequisite.

The Master program Electrical engineering and information systems focus Innovations in electrical engineering and information technology are the basis for a smart  automated and interconnected world. In the international Master program at the h_da  students acquire the tools for their career in this forward-looking market. With the four main focuses Automation  Communications  Embedded Systems and Microelectronics as well as Power Engineering  the program covers all important disciplines. It enables students to diversify or specialize in a wide range of fields. They learn and work in intercultural teams. The language of instruction is English.

It is mandatory to do an internship. It is easier to find internship when it is mandatory. 3-6 months is most common.

School English is not deemed sufficient only native speakers from either the United States or Great Britain are exempted from participating in one of the above tests. Electrical Engineering and Information Technology

Biodiversity Sciences

The aim of cognitive science is to research cognitive abilities such as perception, thinking, planning, learning, speaking and acting. it is about the explanation of human language and nonverbal behavior, the formation of artificial intelligent systems and the investigation of perception and motor skills.
