The programme Heritage conservation and site management focuses on transferring knowledge and methodologies required for the administration and management of cultural heritage sites. The offered modules focus on the following topics: strategies and methodologies for heritage conservation  heritage site management  tourism and visitor management. Students also complete two practice-oriented study projects.

The MA in Research Training Program in Social Sciences is a one-year program particularly suited for research-focused students who are interested in subsequently completing a PhD in Germany. During the two semesters, the MA Research Training Program in Social Sciences  offers a deeper understanding of theory, contemporary research methods and debates within the social and political sciences. Students have the possibility to select courses most suitable to their own academic needs and objectives and will receive intensive supervision and counselling during the process of developing their individual profile.

Research Training Program in Social Sciences

The aim of the course is to provide students with in-depth knowledge of the physical and technical fundamentals in the field of quantum engineering as well as sound knowledge of the theoretical and experimental methods for obtaining new knowledge, including the necessary ability to abstract, analytical thinking, ability to to structure complex relationships and to be able to contribute successfully to the economy. Geared towards basic research, students receive a broad-based scientific education with a focus on nanosciences and quantum technology, which includes all the necessary knowledge in experimental physics, internships, theoretical physics and also an individual specialization.

Quantum Engineering

Based on current research topics in this program biophysical methods and corresponding applications are presented. Fundamentals in thermodynamics, reaction kinetics and molecular interactions in general as well as with respect to analysis of single cells down to single molecules are discussed. Students acquire theoretical aspects and principles in biophysics, cell biology, developmental biology, microbiology, bioinformatics. Using bioinformatics tools, they learn to use computer based approaches to address and resolve problems in these biophysical area of ​​research. Students are able to review and expand their knowledge of standard molecular and biophysical techniques.

Biophysics

The Master program in Dairy Science focuses on the interdisciplinary aspects of on-farm milk production, dairy economics, and processing of dairy food and products. The study program imparts the most current scientific knowledge in dairy production, including economics, breeding, feed, nutrition and biochemistry, animal welfare and health, milking technology, eco-efficiency, processing and quality of dairy products, and it conveys methodological skills to teach students to work scientifically and systematically. Students will strengthen their Competencies in the field of dairy science and acquire skills in analytical understanding of the entire dairy production process chain.

The International Master degree in Information Systems Management provides students with the necessary technical expertise, while also enabling them to benefit from the very wide range of modules to focus on an area of specialization. The economics and business elements of the program are taught within the Faculty of Economics and Management of the program.

Information Systems Management

The International War Studies degree program examines the causes, dynamics and contexts of violent conflicts at a national and international level, as well as their pre-history, course of events, and consequences. The program focuses primarily on military history, the cultural history of political violence, and military sociology, with each field’s respective methodologies and theories. Students will acquire abilities and competencies that enable them to analyze historical and current conflicts.
