The Bachelor of Arts with American studies learn the theoretical fundamentals of the subject as well as practical language skills and intercultural competence. This program intended for students with a wide-ranging interest in the languages, the literature, the cultures, and the history of North American.  American Studies is interdisciplinary and includes literature, culture, history, social policy, and politics. The programme consists of a core with 9 modules and a minor with 10 modules as part of programme structure.

It is mandatory to do an internship. It is easier to find internship when it is mandatory. 3-6 months is most common.

The Semester contributions totaling 337.39 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Semester ticket fee 226.14 EUR, Student union fee 94.00 EUR, Constituted student body fee 13.10 EUR, Student sports committee general university sports fee 1.60 EUR and Student aid fund  AStA (General Student Committee) fee 2.55 EUR

American Studies (Two-subject)

The International Master programme in Ecosystem Services provides students with the knowledge base and methods to analyse pressing environmental problems and to develop societally relevant solutions. A special focus lies on inter-transdisciplinary approaches from the natural and the social sciences in order to conserve and sustainably use biodiversity as well as to secure the sustainable provision of ecosystem services for present and future generations. Graduates of the programme will have access to career opportunities in various fields such as research and education, public administration, business, economic and policy consultancy, International organisations, non-governmental organisations or scientific management and coordination.

Internship is not mandatory, but is optional during studies. If possible, we recommend doing an internship.

Technische Universität Dresden

Master in Business Administration focus on one of the four areas of Accounting, Finance, Management or Marketing. In addition, students can supplement skills by choosing a minor in Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Information Systems, Management, Marketing, Business Research or Economics. The diverse combination options of major and minor allow  to concentrate on what interests and tailor studies to individual preferences and needs.

The Semester contributions totalling 316.03 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Student union fee 99.11 EUR, Supplementary student insurance fee 0.23 EUR, University Sports fee 1.40 EUR, Student body fee 11.75 EUR, University radio station fee 0.30 EUR, Semester ticket for cultural events fee 3.40 EUR and Semester ticket 199.84 EUR

Business Administration

The Bachelor program in English Studies is focused on the research and teaching of the English language, Anglophone literature and society and culture in various English-speaking countries, as well as teaching these subjects in schools and other institutions. The goal of this programme is to help students gain linguistic and cultural competencies through the acquisition of technical and language skills that can be utilised or conveyed relevant professional situations.

The Semester contributions totalling 404.01 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Semester ticket fee 202.19 EUR, Students union fee 98.00 EUR, Student body fee 23.30 EUR, DIY Bicycle repair shop fee 2.60 EUR, Administration fee 75.00 EUR and Culture Ticket fee 2.92 EUR

School certificate from a country with English as the official language and also language of instruction is accepted as proof of language requirement

English Studies two subject

Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg

The Master in European Management provides a unique intercultural study experience at leading European universities to prepare students for the demands of the Management labor market. Students in this program spend one year at the University of Tübingen and one year at the partner University of Nottingham. They are able to choose from a broad range of courses at both universities to tailor the contents of the program to their specific needs. In addition to the Master in European Management, students are granted a Master degree from their partner university. With this additional qualification, graduates have a wider range of employment possibilities in different countries and multinationally operating companies.



Courses in Nottingham are exclusively taught in English, Specializations in Tübingen determine course language (English or German)

The Semester contributions totalling 158.30 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Student Services Student union Tübingen-Hohenheim AöR fee 84.80 EUR, Administration fee 70.00 EUR and Student union fee 3.50 EUR

Bachelor degree in English/American Studies or University degree obtained in the UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, Australia or New Zealand, Cambridge: CAE, CPE or BEC is accepted as proof of language requirement

European Management With Nottingham

University of Tübingen

Master in Entrepreneurship and Digital Transformation helps to start your entrepreneurial project in health, mobility, manufacturing, food or your topic, thrive in an international and interdisciplinary work environment and also let you learn from peers and professionals in a community of aspiring entrepreneurs and corporate innovators. This is a joint Master programme Entrepreneurship and Digital Transformation offered by Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences and Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship (SCE).

The Semester contributions totalling 129.04 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Student union fee 62.00 EUR and a solidarity fee for the student public transportation pass (Semesterticket) fee 67.04 EUR

Entrepreneurship and Digital Transformation

Munich University of Applied Sciences

The Master programme in provides knowledge of the structures of global companies and strategy development for internationalisation. In addition, students acquire strategic management skills. The focus is on operations and systems control on the one hand and people management on the other. International Marketing, Finance and Accounting, IT Management, Engineering Management, Big Data Management or Leadership are some of the majors offered in this programme. Career prospects include Change Manager, Project Manager, Consultant and so on. 

Native speakers or applicants graduated from English-speaking school or university are exempted from providing proof of language proficiency

Management (Hybrid)

The Master programme in Marketing Management focuses on Strategy and creativity in international business and offers students with broad spectrum of career opportunities. Career prospects include Digital Communications Manager, Brand Manager, Marketing/Sales Manager and so on. This program is offered in two variants of 60 and 120 ECTS.

Marketing Management (Hybrid)

The Bachelor study programme in Industrial Engineering and Management will familiarise students with features and applications for smart devices, smart technologies and smart mobility – and they will learn how to use them to create, innovate and disrupt certain industries. They will become experienced with digital twins and similar technologies, and will be able to apply theoretical knowledge with the help of experimental kits and digital modelling in our virtual environment. After graduating with an Industrial Engineering and Management students will be qualified to enter positions at the heart of digitisation and at the interface of many different industries. Career prospects include Solutions Architect, Software Engineer in Industry 4.0, Data Scientist and so on.

Industrial Engineering and Management (Hybrid)

The Interdisciplinary Research Master program prepares students to think independently and learn in an interdisciplinary manner in various fields of activity of science, business, administration, politics and the cultural sector. Through research-based learning, the course enables interdisciplinarity and sharpens the ability to analyze, which does justice to a reflective understanding of the problems of an extremely fast-changing time. The Master program creates an expansion of individualization , interdisciplinarity and personal atmosphere in order to promote the potential of students in such a way that they can develop their great talents in the best possible way.
