Technische Universität Dresden, abbreviated as TUD and frequently mistranslated as "Dresden University of Technology," is a public research university that has 32,389 students as of 2018. It is the largest institution of higher learning in the city of Dresden, the largest university in Saxony, and one of the top ten universities in Germany.

The institution is a part of TU9, a grouping of the top nine German technical universities. The institution earned the designation of "University of Excellence" in 2012 as one of eleven German universities that completed the Excellence Initiative successfully. The TU Dresden was successful in each of the German Universities Excellence Initiative's three rounds (Future Concept, Graduate Schools, Clusters of Excellence). There are 14 faculties at TU Dresden. With the exception of the Faculty of Medicine, which has its own campus near the Elbe river east of the city center and the Department of Forestry at Tharandt, almost all faculties are located on the main campus, which is located south of the city center.

The TUD has a solid reputation overseas; around one-eighth of its students are international. Currently, 8.300 people from 70 different nations work at Technische Universität Dresden. At TU Dresden, there are more than 5000 international students studying from more than 125 nations. The majority of them travel for full-time study, while others go on exchange or for PhD programs.

The university was placed 5th in Germany and 113rd overall in the QS Engineering and Technology Ranking. The university was placed 157th overall and 90th in the world for engineering & technology in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. Additionally, the university was listed as the 79th "Most Innovative Universities Ranking 2019" according to Reuters.


Technische Universität Dresden

The Fachhochschule Potsdam is a University of Applied Sciences in Potsdam, which lies in the capital of the German federal state of Brandenburg. It was established in 1991, and the first classes were held in the winter semester of 1991–1992.

There are two locations for the Fachhochschule Potsdam. The majority of the classes are held in the former Adolf-Hitler Barracks of the Wehrmacht Infantry Regiment 9 at the Pappelallee Campus in northern Potsdam.

With more than 30 bachelor's and master's degree programs that emphasize practical application, the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam provides both prospective students and current students with clear employment opportunities. 3,600 students from Germany and other countries are supervised by more than 100 professors.

The University of Applied Sciences Potsdam's study programs are offered in German and demand for language proficiency at least at level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference. German language proficiency is not required for admission to the Childhood Studies and Children's Rights master's program in English. However, it is advised to have a basic understanding of German.

An international network of about 80 partner universities makes up the Potsdam University of Applied Sciences. In addition to facilitating easy and cost-free completion of a semester abroad for University of Applied Sciences students, this collaboration also fosters exchange at the teaching and research levels. In contrast, as a result of these alliances, the FH accepts students from all over the world for a semester or academic year.

Finding a room is VERY DIFFICULT around this University. Start ASAP. You are most likely on a waiting list for a student hostel accommodation even if you delay few days.

The University of Hohenheim is a German campus university that is situated in the region south of Stuttgart. It is Stuttgart's oldest university and was established in 1818. Agriculture and the natural sciences had historically been its key areas of expertise. The bulk of its students nowadays, however, are enrolled in one of the several study programs provided by the faculty of business, economics, and social sciences. The University of Hohenheim is one of Germany's top universities in these subjects since its faculty is consistently rated among the best in the country. The institution participates in various collaborative research initiatives and has academic relationships with a number of partner universities.

The number of degree programs are 40 in total. Whereas 12  are Bachelor’s and 26 are Master’s programs. With that, there is 1 Bachelor’s Teacher Program, 1 Master’s Teacher Program, and 3 Doctorate as well.

The total number of students are 8,675, of which 4,996 are women and also 1,276 with an International background.	

In addition to fitness, health, and well-being, university life emphasizes the opportunity for social interaction and integration in a laid-back setting. With more than 60 different sports and roughly 120 different course options available, University Sports gives all members the ability to exercise on campus.

Student organizations progress the university and enhance campus life. The diverse spectrum of student interests is displayed by them. Political activism, ecological, economic, or social movements, as well as lived faith in a variety of religious movements and worldviews, are all included in the efforts. The Student Parliament, run by AStA, grants accreditation as a student organisation.


University of Hohenheim

The University of Rostock (German: Universität Rostock) founded in 1419 is a public university located in Rostock, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. For certain postgraduate studies, German and English are the primary languages of instruction.

The University of Rostock now has about 14,000 students and 2,933 employees (including 2,926 in the medical care industry), and it provides fascinating insights on almost all scientific subjects. The University of Rostock has excellent interdisciplinary research fields at its disposal in the fields of natural and technological sciences, medicine, life sciences, humanities, and cultural studies thanks to the four profile lines Life, Light, and Matter, Maritime Systems, Aging Science and Humanities, and Knowledge, Culture, and Transformation. 

The scientific literature and information is available for research, instruction, and study at the Rostock University Library, which consists of three divisional libraries and various specialist libraries. Approximately 3 million physical volumes are listed in the catalog, according to university data.

The University of Rostock is the oldest institution of higher learning in the Baltic Sea region, having inherited a distinguished history of approximately 600 years of study and research. The new departments, which provide more than 100 different degree programs, currently house about 14,000 students. If an international student currently enrolled at the University of Rostock wants to switch to a different subject or course of study, they must first determine whether the requested subject or course of study is admission-restricted or admission-free.

Although there are many more organizations with which the university may collaborate and exchange students, it has already established cooperation agreements with a number of foreign universities.
