In the Master program Expanded media Creating media experiences that have an impact on users' real lives and can bring about real changes is what the English-language Master programme 'Expanded Media' is all about. The focus of such new  transmedia media architectures is the personal experience: users want to feel personally involved and try to draw personal benefits for their lives from the media experience. In international teams  students develop media offerings that explore this potential. In interdisciplinary media productions  they combine real and media worlds of experience and develop a new media language based on the user/audience experience. In the three study specialisations Expanded Storyworlds  Expanded Sound and Music and Expanded Realities  students are given the opportunity to deepen their preferred strategies with which they want to convey a personally meaningful experience to users.

Step 1
Apply online via the uni-assist portal. Note the necessary application documents that you need to upload there (no postal submissions). About 4 weeks after receipt of your application  uni-assist will inform you about the current processing status. If your application is formally correct  your data will be forwarded to the Hochschule Darmstadt. 

Step 2
If your application is successful  you will receive a letter of admission from the Hochschule Darmstadt. This letter of admission contains a binding enrolment date and a list of documents that you must submit by Email in order to enrol. 

Incomplete or incorrect documents will result in the cancellation of the notification of admission! The place originally allocated to you will then be allocated to someone else.

It is mandatory to do an internship. It is easier to find internship when it is mandatory. 3-6 months is most common.

 Hochschule Harz has its headquarters in Wernigerode. The administrative and instructional buildings of the Department of Business Studies, as well as the Department of Automation and Computer Sciences, are housed on a 62,000-square-meter-large green campus in Hasserode (district of Wernigerode). The Hasso Plattner Institute (Hasso-Plattner-Institut für Digital Engineering gGmbH), abbreviated HPI, is a German information technology institute and faculty of the University of Potsdam located in Potsdam near Berlin. The teaching and research of HPI are focused on "IT-Systems Engineering". HPI was founded in 1998 and is the first, and as of 2018 the only entirely privately funded faculty in Germany. It is financed entirely through private funds donated by billionaire Hasso Plattner, who co-founded the software company SAP SE, and is currently the chairman of SAP's supervisory board. 
 
 HPI offers the innovation-oriented and practically based studies in "IT-Systems Engineering" with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree and master degrees in Digital Health, Data Engineering and Cybersecurity. In addition, HPI offers a supplemental study program in the innovation method of Design Thinking. The HPI is a world-class educational provider. The University of Passau, or Universität Passau in German, is a public research university founded on October 9, 1978, in Passau, Lower Bavaria, Germany. Its first semester enrollment was 463 students.

There are now 39 distinct undergraduate and graduate degree programs offered at its four faculties. On its university campus, which is a short distance from Passau's Old Town, about 12,000 students from more than 100 different countries and about 1,100 primary employees in the academic units and academic support divisions are working on research, teaching, and support activities for higher education. This campus has won multiple architectural awards in addition to being well-equipped in terms of technology infrastructure.

The library was founded with the university in 1978 and welcomed Passauer residents and students that same year. Together with the five faculty and institution libraries, the central library serves as the university's primary library. Currently, there are two million volumes and 3,050 journals in the university library. Each of the 1,000 desks in the reading rooms, which are available 16 hours a day, is for library patrons.
