Bucerius Law School’s English-taught Master of Law and Business (LL.M. / MLB) prepares young professionals for international careers in which an understanding of both legal and business concepts as well as intercultural skills are essential.

The Master of Law and Business is an interdisciplinary and international program which welcomes students from a multitude of academic and cultural backgrounds. Geared primarily towards young professionals in the legal and business fields  it is also open to graduates of other disciplines with a demonstrated interest in the disciplines of law and business.

Students are admitted on a rolling admission basis and admission is offered on a space-available basis.

We encourage you to submit your application as early as possible  especially if you are planning to apply for a scholarship or if you need a visa to study in Germany.

The Master programme at Heidelberg University has been designed with these factors in mind. The objective of the programme is to provide students with a solid foundation in international public health principles and to equip them with the knowledge and skills necessary to implement and run sustainable programmes for disease control, health promotion, and health services development across a wide range of populations and countries.

International Health

The focus of the Master program Ethnology is on examining cultural processes and dynamics in a globally networked world, but without losing sight of the local and located dimensions of everyday life. The course enables graduates to recognize and understand local, regional and global cultural processes and dynamics in terms of their meanings, values, mediation and practices. These processes include economic, religious, political, health, aesthetic and other dimensions of social life. The Master program deepens theoretical, methodological and regional knowledge and equips the students with the tools they need to conduct independent scientific research, to solve complex problems and to present in-depth analysis of socio-cultural issues.

A certificate of the language centre of Heidelberg University with grade 2.0 or better, a degree from a university whose language of instruction is English and who have written their BA thesis in English do not need to provide TOEFL or IELTS scores

Ethnology

In the Entrepreneurship Master you will be trained for business management: Whether founding, developing or establishing a successful start-up. From the first business idea to the mature business plan, you will develop business models in practical projects and thus be optimally prepared for entering the start-up ecosystem.
Course is also available in Fast Track basis. Under fast track basis, semester abroad is omitted and you shorten your internship period. This allows you to complete your Master degree in only 3 semesters with 90 ECTS.
Note: In the Entrepreneurship program you can earn an international double degree. With the double degree, in addition to the Master degree at ISM, you also earn a Master degree at an international partner university. Depending on the partner university, this is even possible as part of the integrated semester abroad, which means that you receive two Master degrees in two or two and a half years.

Students from EU and EWR have to pay an enrollment fee of 600 EUR and Non-EU-students have to pay 1500 EUR

English language proficiency can also be proven as follows:  Cambridge (FCE) test score or a degree in English Studies or at least 30 ECTS in an English-language higher education program or a native speaker (will be assessed on a case-by-case basis)

Entrepreneurship

International School of Management (ISM)

The Brand Management Master combines business management knowledge with different focal points, which qualify for activities in marketing, trade, purchasing or sales in the luxury and consumer goods industry. In addition to project work and excursions, the Master Sales Management also includes a twelve-week practical phase. The majority of their lecturers have practical experience and work in companies such as Montblanc, Hugo Boss or Procter and Gamble.
Course is also available in Fast Track basis. Under fast track basis, semester abroad is omitted and you shorten your internship period. This allows you to complete your Master degree in only 3 semesters with 90 ECTS.
Note: An international double degree can be obtained in fashion management. In addition to the Master degree at the ISM, you can also obtain a second, internationally recognized Master degree in two or two and a half years. The decisive step for your international career is supported by the expansion of your personal network with international students and lecturers. In addition, you will consolidate your linguistic and intercultural skills with a double degree.

Luxury, Fashion and Sales Management

This program for the subject American Studies is made up of the subfields American Studies, Culture Studies, and English Linguistics, and offers students the opportunity to gain and expand their literary, linguistic, and geographical knowledge in two university systems while reflecting on the differing perspectives.  This Bachelor degree is completed partly at JGU and partly at the partner university in Dijon. In this program, the subject American Studies is always combined with French. The course concludes with both a German and a French (License) university degree.

American Studies/Anglais (Two-subject)

Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz

The integrated American Studies Master program at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz and the French Université de Bourgogne offers a literary and cultural studies-oriented course program in which in-depth knowledge of the various manifestations of Anglophone societies in the respective literary, historical, political and cultural contexts is conveyed. Students are given the opportunity to research the tradition and diversification of Anglophone literatures, cultures and languages ​​in depth.

French language proficiency of level B2 must be proven accordingly by submitting university entrance qualification that was taken at a French-speaking school or by submitting an Abi-Bac 

American Studies / Anglais

The aim of the biomedical chemistry course is to act as a link between the three disciplines and thus to bundle approaches and strategies from the individual areas. The Master degree in biomedical chemistry has a clear focus on the areas of biochemistry, organic chemistry, Pharmacology and pharmaceutical/medicinal chemistry as well as elective subjects from the field of biomedicine. Thanks to their solid education in the subjects of chemistry, biology and biomedicine with scope for individual specialization, students of biomedical chemistry have in-depth knowledge that enables them to moderate between fields of study and to correctly classify individual contents and results in an overall context.

Abitur which shows that English has been attended in school for at least five years is also accepted as proof of language proficiency

Biomedical Chemistry

English studies is the study of the literature and culture of Great Britain and Ireland. One of the fundamental goals of English studies is to impart methodological competence in dealing with texts, a skill that is the basis for success in any field of work. This degree is internationally recognized and qualifies students for an Advanced Master degree. After successfully completing studies, there are numerous opportunities for students to contribute the skills they have acquired, such as critical text analysis and high communication skills, to the market, which is shaped by companies in the media and information society. The programme consists of a core with 7 modules and a minor with 8 modules as part of programme structure.

English Literature and Culture (Two-Subject)

The programme focuses on the reprogramming mechanisms of the metabolism in association with phenotypic, physiological or behavioural changes including disease development. Both bioinformatics and complex computational approaches give insights into the field of computational biology. Students become familiar with theoretical aspects and principles in comprehensive bioanalytical approaches in cell biology, developmental biology, microbiology.
