The Master program genome based system technology course gives access to a new interdisciplinary research field  systems biology  where molecular life science and modern physico-chemical techniques and mathematical-bioinformatic methods synergize.Systems biology comprises a lot of disciplines. In this field biology joins forces with e.g. bioinformatics  mathematics and physics. The common target is to understand the functionality of cells  organs or even complete organisms.
With a Master degree in "Genome Based Systems Biology" you can e.g. work on biotechnological projects  study diseases or investigate alternative forms of energy. You are well prepared for a career as well in science as in economy.
This research oriented Master course  with less than 18 students per academic year  enables an intensive supervision and sufficient time to learn the use of complex instruments and evaluate and analyze complex data.
This interdisciplinary Master course follows the tradition of Bielefeld University - communication and cooperation are therefore deeply embedded.Aim of systems biology is to establish computer-based models of processes in the living cell allowing to predict the performance of metabolic pathways  cells  organs or whole organisms under certain conditions.

All courses and lectures are given either in German or in English. Therefore German as well as English language skills are prerequisite.



Internship is not mandatory, but is optional during studies. If possible, we recommend doing an internship.

The Semester contributions totaling 321.74 EUR must be paid each semester it includes Semester ticket 153.89 EUR, Studierendenwerk 91.00 EUR, NRW - Ticket 58.50 EUR and General contribution 18.35 EUR

The Master in International Management course integrates Bachelor’s degree graduates into teams communicating on the basis of shared linguistic, mathematical, and computer-based skills. Such skills are not taught on the course, but are assumed to be there, acquired by you in your undergraduate studies.  From this, we build dynamic and creative international teams. This degree course by Its nature requires a high level of openness to the concept of human difference. 

The language of instruction in compulsory modules and usually also in the elective modules is English.

Masters in International Business enable the students to take on commercial and project management positions at middle and senior management level in international companies in Germany and abroad. The aim of the Master in International Business is to deepen, specialized and broad knowledge skills in international Business. Graduates are able to take over positions in key business disciplines within international and national operating companies.

With the program English Studies, students will analyze linguistic phenomena, literary texts and cultural processes in Great Britain and other English-speaking cultures in their historical and social context. You will learn to apply basic methods and theories of English linguistics, literary studies and cultural studies to concrete questions and to present and discuss your findings in appropriate technical language in English.

Master in Sustainability and Risk Management deals with penetrating the interdisciplinary complexity of the subject areas of sustainability and risk management, to understand and anticipate interrelationships and mutual effects, and to develop appropriate, responsible solutions for their field of activity. Special attention is paid to a fact-based, analytical approach and the critical examination of existing approaches.

The Semester contribution totaling 358.01 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes 75.00 EUR for contribution to administration costs, 6.00 EUR for VRB semester ticket,11.00 EUR for student union contribution, 56.01 EUR for DB semester ticket and 110.00 EUR for student union contribution

Applicants are exempted from providing English language certificate if they successfully completed previous programme of study in which English was the language of instruction

In the Master program International Energy Engineering you will learn the necessary engineering contexts, procedures and concepts in an international environment. This will lead to a sound expertise in all areas of environmentally friendly energy engineering, which you can deepen according to your individual inclinations. In the course of your studies, you will mainly work and research in the field of environmentally friendly energy technologies. Furthermore, you will deal with potentials and economic efficiency, supply and demand of energy. Through additional subjects in the field of energy law, innovation management and intercultural competence and communication, you will also expand your competencies in the area of soft skills. Applicants with less than 210 ECTS need to complete a additional bridge semester acquiring 30 ECTS, which increases the course duration by one semester. It is also recommended for applicants with 210 ECTS but not necessary.

Kiel University of Applied Sciences was founded in 1969 as a University of Applied Sciences. It is one of three public higher education institutions in Kiel, Germany. The faculties of Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Science & Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Media and Social Work, and Health offer approximately 30 Bachelor's and Master's degrees, supplementary degrees, and continuing education courses. There are 7824 students enrolled as of November 2018.
 
 There are two dorms on campus, as well as one large and several smaller cafeterias. A planetarium called the Mediendom, a computer museum, and a star observatory are also affiliated with Fachhochschule.
 
 Agriculture, Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, Systems Engineering, Media, Social Work, and Economics are the six departments that comprise the Fachhochschule Kiel. These departments offer 38 different courses of study, 19 of which are Bachelor courses. Aside from traditional courses like Economics and Social Work, the FH Kiel offers two maritime courses: Naval Architecture and Technology and Offshore Technology.

The Austrian city of Salzburg and the Bavarian capital Munich are both one hour's drive from the TH Rosenheim. The institution, which was founded in 1971, is most well-known for its Faculty of Wood Engineering and Construction.
