This program seeks students to enhance students’ knowledge of pharmaceutical products and processes in response to industry needs  especially in pharmaceutical production and development.The Pharmaceutical Technology  Purification Techniques  Cell Culture Systems and Bioanalytics modules follow the typical sequence of development of a new active ingredient in the pharmaceutical industry. In this way  you will learn to recognise the links between the identification  production and administration of active substances  come to understand the meaning of pharmacological parameters  and engage with quality control and quality assurance for developed products. Taking these skills into your future career  you will be able to formulate recommendations on an active ingredient use  work in a team to realise these recommendations  and analyse developments or propose improvements.

The language of instruction and assessment is English  but German is spoken in all laboratories and is the predominant language in use at HAW Hamburg.

Internship is not mandatory, but is optional during studies. If possible, we recommend doing an internship.

The amount 340.40 EUR consists of Studierendenwerk 85.00 EUR, Students' Union (AStA) 18.50 EUR, Semester ticket for public transport 182.40 EUR, Contribution to semester ticket hardship fund 4.50 EUR, Administrative fee 50.00 EUR

International applicants to the degree Pharmaceutical Biotechnology who completed their first degrees in a language of instruction other than German must provide proof of successful completion of an internationally recognised test of German language proficiency

The Master (MA) degree in Tourism and Sustainable Management (TSM) at the CBS is a joint programme conceived by the Department of International Tourism Management (ITM) and the Center for Advanced Sustainable Management (CASM) to explore the complexities of putting tourism business development alongside sustainable growth. By incorporating both teaching and research, TSM strives to incorporate current trends and issues, alongside discussions around this current thematic and endeavours to develop new conceptual frameworks collectively.

It is mandatory to do an internship. It is easier to find internship when it is mandatory. 3-6 months is most common.

The semester fee 350  covers Semester ticket, Students Union/Studierendenwerk, University Sport/ Hochschulsport and Student Parliament

Graduates of this programme will be able to participate in the processes of European Integration.
Note: 3 semesters without internship, 4 semesters with internship

Besides, every participant must contribute 1500 EUR to the programme. This amount should ideally be paid by the trade union which is supporting the student’s application

Applied Geosciences

The programme deals with fundamentals in structural biology and biochemistry with special focus on protein chemistry and biophysical methods for high resolution analytics. Students understand the principles of biophysics and biochemistry including structural biology.  They also become familiar with fundamental methods in biophysics and get an idea to apply these in various experimental settings.  This enables the students to get deeper into the field by reading current scientific literature, by acquiring sufficient quantitative understanding of biophysical mechanisms and are able to work on related research projects.

Robotics, Cognition, Intelligence Master program is a joint program of the Departments of Informatics, Electrical Engineering, and Information Technology as well as Mechanical Engineering it provides the basis upon which to participate in these fascinating developments.

The languages of instruction for this program are German and English. This means that you need to complete modules in both German and English in the course of your studies

German proficiency can also be proven by Qualification Assessment Examination,  International Baccalaureate certificate with German at high level, General Higher Education Qualification from a European School in Germany or Diploma from a German educational institution

The aim of this Master program in Health Economics and Health Care Management is to analyze these challenges and develop potential solutions.
