The study programme is designed to build vocational pedagogical competencies. In addition  professional language skills in English are promoted. The programme aims at developing scientific and methodological skills and Competencies as well as practical qualifications for professions in Technical Vocational Education.The program is also designed to support other countries in modernising their vocational training systems and German companies in training skilled workers in their partner countries.

The course is offered in English; it is internationally oriented and trains specialists and managers in public institutions (ministries  subordinate institutions  etc.)  vocational school teachers  trainers and further education staff in companies as well as company-internal and inter-company educational institutions already active in this field or planning to be in the future. Further target groups include vocational training researchers who can support the management of higher education institutions with the acquired expertise in the academic field  as well as academia and institutes providing further education and general vocational training research. Graduates of the study program a qualified to seek employment in the design of vocational schools  vocational education policy and educational guidance  state education administration  international education work or adult education and (inter-)company ongoing education. Other fields of work include personnel and organizational development in companies or education management at associations  chambers and public institutions.

The Fachhochschule des Mittelstands (FHM) is a private , state-recognized university of applied sciences and was founded in Bielefeld in 2000 by the Paderborn District Crafts Association, the Ostwestfalen-Lippe Chamber of Crafts in Bielefeld and the West German Chamber of Crafts . The shareholder today is the Education & Crafts Foundation from Paderborn. It offers bachelor's and master's degree programs in the fields of business, technology, media and communication, sports, health and nutrition, education and social affairs, and psychology.
 
 The FHM's studies are organized into trimesters. Courses are held during the first two months of each trimester. The exam preparation phase is followed by the exam phase for the module exams. Every event and module conclude with an examination. Full-time courses, part-time courses for professionals, distance learning courses, and dual study models developed in collaboration with industry are all available at the university. 
 
 The Fachhochschule des Mittelstands equips its students with skills that are in high demand on multiple levels. The foundation of the FHM Study concept is its own competency model, in which students are encouraged to think and act in an interdisciplinary and interprofessional manner and are holistically qualified to acquire a multiple qualification that is in high demand on the market.

All of this incorporates the FHM into their courses in order to best prepare their students for their future in the workplace and in society.

The Nürtingen-Geislingen University (German: Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Umwelt Nürtingen-Geislingen) is a public university of applied sciences in Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany. In 2013, the HfWU successfully completed system accreditation and received the Accreditation Council seal. The HfWU is the 15th university in the country to be system-accredited, ranking fourth in Baden-Württemberg.
 
 At Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences, 128 professors and 429 lecturers instruct 5309 students in 31 courses, 16 of which are bachelor's and 15 of which are masters. External examinations include four master's programs, eight MBA programs, and eight bachelor's programs (full-time/part-time). The university has two camus, one in Nürtingen and one in Geislingen. The university has strong partnerships with over 100 universities on all continents. 3 libraries with a total of approximately 97,000 books and approximately 260,000 e-books. A bachelor's or master's degree from a foreign partner university can be obtained in addition to the HfWU degree. Nuertingen-Geislingen University

The Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI) is a public, research-based Fachhochschule in Germany that is situated in Ingolstadt. It was established in 1994, with about 6,500 students enrolled across its five colleges, and provides more than 80 academic programs. Technology and business are the main areas of study and instruction. The main campus is situated in Ingolstadt's city core. Neuburg a der Donau is the location of the second campus.

The THI offers more than 80 courses of study in the five faculties of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering and Management and at the THI Business School. The Hochschule Ingolstadt is one of the strongest research universities in the field of applied science universities in Germany. 

Dual studies are possible at the THI in the undergraduate Bachelor's as well as in the Master programme. There are two modes of study: joint studies and studies with in-depth practical experience. In joint studies, the course is combined with vocational training (IHK/HWK degree). Studies with in-depth practical experience combine studying at the THI with periods of practical experience in a company without completion of vocational training.

With over 140 partner institutions, seven English-language bachelor's and master's level courses, and corporate partners globally, the THI has access to a wide network internationally. The THI's strong international orientation is also demonstrated by the variety of multi-year research programs and collaboration with international partners. 

The academic training at the THI also offers corporate programs for the qualification needs of partner companies such as BMW, Siemens, Daimler, Allianz or the regional clinic. Thus, around 120 companies regularly participate in the research projects of the THI, including large corporations such as Audi, BMW, Continental, Siemens as well as numerous SMEs and other research institutions.
