The Master Program Physical Biology of Cells and Cell Interactions is based on the mission statement of the Goethe University. Research and teaching take place at an international level and promote the acquisition of an in-depth research-oriented education in the fields of cell biology and physical biology. 
The Master programme provides students with an understanding of fundamental life processes from cell growth, cell to cell communication and differentiation to hormonal, inflammatory, angiogenic signaling and aging. These processes are studied in context of cells, tissues and model organisms. The Master program in American Studies offers comprehensive training in the methods and theories of the discipline as well as multifaceted knowledge and insights into the literatures, cultures, history, and society of the United States. The wide variety of courses in the program ranges from those on America’s colonial past and early literary and political culture to those covering contemporary themes in race, class, gender, ethnic, and regional studies.

The Master program is research-oriented and comparable in time and orientation to the previous program in physics. In the course of the Master program, students acquire the ability to work independently on scientific issues. This ability is of fundamental importance, both for a later doctorate and for a successful activity as a physicist outside research in later professional life.

The Master in European Management provides a unique intercultural study experience at leading European universities to prepare students for the demands of the Management labor market. Students in this program spend one year at the University of Tübingen and one year at the partner University of Strasbourg. They are able to choose from a broad range of courses at both universities to tailor the contents of the program to their specific needs. In addition to the Master in European Management, students are granted a Master degree from their partner university. With this additional qualification, graduates have a wider range of employment possibilities in different countries and multinationally operating companies.

European Management With Strasbourg

The Master degree programme in Energy Technology is offered to meet arising requirements of internationality. Technical expertise is taught in an international environment. The sector of Energy Technology is increasingly characterized by international and multinational collaborations. Thus, besides the technical expertise international experience is demanded. The programme is designed to give a highly qualified specialisation in the field of Energy Technology. It is offered in English language by Leibniz Universität Hannover, Germany in cooperation with Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology, Finland.

The Semester contributions totalling 404.12 EUR must be paid each semester. Two subject Bachelor programme in English and American Studies in combination with the Master of Education constitutes a modular degree programme in the course of which students have the option to decide whether they wish to continue their studies to become teachers after completing their Bachelor of Arts degree.

Applicants having degrees obtained in the UK, Ireland, the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand or South Africa are exempt from proving language proficiency
