The Environmental and Resource Management study programme offers an integrated approach to current environmental issues. Recognising that these issues can no longer be solved by a single discipline  the programme combines the knowledge of several closely related fields. Classes are offered in fundamental technical subjects as well as in natural sciences  sociology  and economics. Starting from this basis  more specific courses deal with current environmental issues such as techniques of resource protection  concepts of environmental planning  risk and impact assessment  as well as socioeconomic implications. The acquisition of management and social skills  and technical and scientific knowledge are therefore highly valued and considered indispensable.

The university's two campuses in Osnabrück and Lingen are supported by four faculties, namely - Agricultural Sciences and Landscape Architecture, Engineering and Computer Science, Management, Culture and Technology in Lingen, as well as Business Management and Social Sciences.
 
 The Bachelor's, Master's, and advanced training levels are truly comprehensive, with approximately 110 degree programs. The university has been a pioneer in many areas of academic training, such as the establishment of new degree programs, and has thus earned the reputation of being an innovative and progressive institution of higher education. Their ever-expanding university has grown to 13,700 students (as of December 2016). Nonetheless, it has cultivated and maintained the character of a familiar and personal teaching and learning environment.
 
 The university belongs to the University Alliance UAS7. Seven universities of applied sciences from across Germany collaborate in this consortium to advance their international orientation. UAS7 has offices in New York and So Paulo. The university is also a member of the European University Association due to the quality of its research (EUA). The international relations network is extensive, with over 200 partner universities worldwide. The Hochschulzentrum China (HZC) was established at the university in 2013.
 
 The new, modern campus in the Lingen locomotive sheds, a new food science laboratory, new canteens at the Westerberg and Lingen locations, a new lecture hall and a new library at the Westerberg campus: these are just a few examples of how a modern infrastructure has been created in recent years. The university is constantly involved in this field.

Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences

One of the fourteen public research institutions in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia is Paderborn University (German: Universität Paderborn). The institution was established in 1972, and 20,308 students were enrolled there for the winter semester of 2016–2017. There are 62 distinct degree programs available. The main campus is in Paderborn, near Warburger Straße. Two dorms for students are owned by Paderborn University, and both are located close to the main campus. The library is located on the main campus.
 
 An extensive range of topics in the humanities, economics, natural sciences, and engineering are covered by the teaching and research profiles in the five faculties. The university grants Bachelor's and Master's degrees in a number of fields through graded degrees. In all of these fields, the teaching degree is significant in Paderborn. The university orchestra, big band, jazz choir, studio stage, and art exhibitions are significant institutions that have a significant impact on campus life because of this.

The largest of the five applied science universities in the German federal state of Brandenburg is the Technical University of Applied Sciences Wildau (abbreviated UAS Wildau). Prospective academics will find the best circumstances for learning in the scientific, engineering, business administration, legal, administrative, and management disciplines on a cutting-edge, compact campus with a direct S-Bahn connection to Berlin.

There are 15 Bachelor's programs and 15 Master's programs offered at the Technical University of Applied Sciences Wildau. The university's degree programs offer courses in the natural sciences, engineering, economics, law, business administration, and management in addition to the conventional engineering disciplines. The sole college in Brandenburg that offers logistics is TH Wildau, which also offers the first telematics degree in all of Germany. Additionally, it offers a degree in Biosystems Technology/Bioinformatics and is the first University of Applied Sciences in Germany to do so.
