Cyber Security is a scientific programme  in which you learn to understand how the Security Building Blocks work and what are their limits including mathematics behind cryptography. The International Master in “Physical Activity and Health” programme provides graduate students with knowledge and practical experience in the field of physical activity and health promotion. Its areas of emphasis are physical activity and exercise for disease prevention and rehabilitation. Students are trained in: conceptualization of intervention strategies  programme implementation within specific settings and/or target groups (e.g. vulnerable groups such as the chronically ill or ethnic minorities)  quality assurance  and scientific evaluation..

Step 1:
As a first step  you should send your application documents as one PDF-File by Email (sport-mapah@fau.de) directly to the Department of Sport Science and Sport. Please do not use the application portal of our university! You will receive a confirmation Email that we have received your application within three working days. Applications will be reviewed by the Department within 6 weeks of receiving the complete application package. Applicants will be informed of the outcome of the evaluation process by Email.

Step 2:
As a second step  applicants who have passed the evaluation by the Department of Sport Science and Sport will be asked to take part in the formal admission process conducted by the central university administration. Applicants will receive assistance guiding them through the formal application process. One important thing is changing: From January 2022  it will no longer be necessary to submit hard copies of your documents (certificates  language certificates  etc.). The entire process of step 1 and step 2 will be done online using electronic documents! The central university administration will conduct a formal check of the applicants' degree certificates. Applicants who pass this second evaluation process will receive an official letter of admission to the MA Programme in Spring/Summer.

For international applicants:
As international (i.e. non-European Union) students will need the formal admission letter in order to apply for a visa to Germany  these applicants are strongly encouraged to file their application with the Department of Sport Science as soon as possible.

If the application to the Department of Sport Science and Sport (Step 1) is submitted later than in February 2022  the full two-step application procedure may not be completed on time to receive a visa for the 2022 fall term.

Applicants not providing CEFR B2 level language certificates may have to take an additional English language exam at the University Language Center prior to enrollment  regardless of the score achieved in other language tests

Physical Activity and Health

The “Master of Arts in Development Economics and International Studies” (MA DEIS) is an economics-centered program designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of students planning to work in or seek leadership responsibilities in public  non-profit  and private sector organizations for international cooperation and development. It is also aimed at students intending to work at the intersection between research and practice and at those pursuing an academic career in study-related subjects.

It is a two-year (four-semester) program and includes rigorous training in analytical as well as qualitative and quantitative methods. In particular  with the increasing availability of micro data (e.g. household- or firm-level data) and the importance of evidence-based policy making  students learn how to do applied empirical work in (development) economics  with a special emphasis on impact evaluations. This includes both experimental methods  such as randomized field experiments  and quasi-experimental methods. The program hence provides students with the skills to understand much of the empirical literature in development economics. Also  and importantly  as part of this training  students will become acquainted with the statistical software Stata  with the aim to enable students to do their own empirical analyses.

Development Economics and International Studies

The Master program Creative Technologies combines audio-visual media technologies and software development studies with an artistic-creative exploration of novel forms of expression in film and digital media art. Creative-artistic computer scientists as well as technically oriented media designer come together in the context of the Film University to experiment with technology  creativity and film with an interdisciplinary approach.

Focus are all mechanisms that contribute to the magic of movies: from graphics  sound and visual effects over traditional production processes to novel forms of storytelling in XR (Virtual Reality  Mixed Reality  Augmented Reality)  cross-media  and interactive.

Students at the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences can expect practice-oriented studies based on current research findings in approximately 40 courses. There is also a variety of continuing education and certificate programs available.
 
 The professors have backgrounds in both science and business. They consider an excellent technical infrastructure and well-equipped laboratories to be as natural as numerous PC pools, university-wide W-Lan, a modern university and district library, and an active campus life. The H-BRS consolidates its numerous cooperative doctorates in the university's own graduate institute; currently, over 90 doctoral students are enrolled at the H-BRS for doctoral studies.
 
 H-BRS describes its strategic goals for teaching, research, transfer, international affairs, and sustainability in the current university development plan (HEP3). H-BRS has an excellent technical infrastructure, well-equipped laboratories, and PC pools with network access. In our university and district libraries in Sankt Augustin, Rheinbach and Hennef you can borrow the latest media, even as a guest user. The university 's own language centre offers general and specialist language courses.

The International School of Management (ISM) is a state-recognized private university. The ISM International School of Management gGmbH, headquartered in Dortmund, is the sponsor. Klaus Evard founded the university in 1990 as the IDB business academy, and it was renamed the International School of Management (ISM) in 1992. It was designated as a private university of applied sciences in 1994. The Quality Community Euro-Schools-Organization purchased the company's shares in 1998.
 
 ISM is internationally oriented from the core with students coming from 84 nationalities, many international lecturers and over 56 additional guest lecturers. Students at the ISM develop lingual and intercultural skills through intensive foreign language training as well as integrated foreign semesters at one of around 190 ISM partner universities and internships abroad. This international focus is reflected in all the ISM's study programs. This makes sure their students receive optimal preparation for a global business career. Furthermore, they gain practical experience outside Germany during their 10 weeks internship abroad.
 
 ISM creates the opportunity for students’ professional development in national and international internships. Practical learning content and projects with well-known companies result in the best possible preparation for a successful professional life. Small study groups & a personal atmosphere allows individual support for the development of students. ISM has 100% open door policy with 1:7 supervision ratio of university teachers/students.
 
 The ISM's MBA programs are no less international. The MBA General Management program in part-time comprises three modules abroad (in the United States, India and Hong Kong). The MBA General Management program in full-time integrates a module abroad in Spain.
