Mathematics in Operations Research Master program is tailored to students who are interested in a demanding vocational education and training, with emphasis on mathematical optimization and the other subdisciplines of applied mathematics. The course content is complemented by a minor that can be chosen from the areas of economics, computer science or business informatics.

Minimum requirement includes a degree in Mathematics or a comparable degree program.
Additionally, applicants must have at least 18 ECTS (Requirements in Mathematics) in following courses: 9 ECTS in Analysis 3, 9 ECTS in Introduction to Probability and Statistics, 5 ECTS in Complex Analysis, 9 ECTS in Algebra, 9 ECTS in Geometry, 9 ECTS in Numerics of Differential Equations, 5 ECTS in Markov Chains, 9 ECTS in Functional Analysis, and 9 ECTS in Partial Differential Equations.
Additionally, applicants must have at least 18 ECTS (Requirements in Optimization) in following courses: 9 ECTS in Introduction to Optimization, 9 ECTS in Integer Optimization, 5 ECTS in Algorithmic Discrete Mathematics, 5 ECTS in Introduction to Nonlinear Optimization and 5 ECTS in Discrete Optimization.
Selection takes place through an aptitude assessment procedure (includes admission interview).
