The research-oriented international Master degree program in Biotechnology allows for a post-bachelor’s specialized training in cell biology  microbiology  bioanalytics and Laboratory Diagnostics. In addition to solid theoretical training incorporating the most up-to-date scientific knowledge  the Master degree programme offers an exceptionally high proportion of practical training in modern laboratory methods. Within small project groups students learn to carry out scientific experiments and how to document and present them. The programme is internationally oriented and all courses are given in English. Applicants with a German higher education degree have to apply via BTU's Online Application Portal.
International applicants have to apply via uni-assist. Uni-assist verifies applications on their credentials – it does not grant admissions. If the verification of uni-assist is successful  the application is forwarded to BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg where we evaluate the application with regards to the admission to our programme. A submission of application documents directly to the university is not possible.

Internship is not mandatory, but is optional during studies. If possible, we recommend doing an internship.

Robotics, Cognition, Intelligence Master program is a joint program of the Departments of Informatics, Electrical Engineering, and Information Technology as well as Mechanical Engineering it provides the basis upon which to participate in these fascinating developments.

The languages of instruction for this program are German and English. This means that you need to complete modules in both German and English in the course of your studies

German proficiency can also be proven by Qualification Assessment Examination,  International Baccalaureate certificate with German at high level, General Higher Education Qualification from a European School in Germany or Diploma from a German educational institution

This international study programme in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics provides research-oriented, interdisciplinary training at the interface between computer science and biology. Core fields are bioinformatics and systems biology, meaning the analysis and modelling of data in molecular biology and biochemistry, in particular from genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics and metabolomics.
