Biomedical Engineering is a broad subject area, incorporating a combination of mathematics, physics, engineering, biology and medicine to answer health-science-related questions, for diagnostics, and for therapeutics. The objective of the degree programme is to provide students with the skills and knowledge needed to conduct independent work and/or research in the field of biomedical engineering, particularly in areas related to computer science and medical physics.

Biomedical Engineering

Heidelberg University

The part-time Master degree in finance ideally combines theory and practice and prepares you for the challenges of corporate finance management , among other things. Practical lectures, practical projects "on the job" in companies and a theory-practice dialogue combine the part-time studies with your practical experience . This enables you to have a short-term and direct exchange between studies and work and the investment in your future, for example as a Corporate Finance Manager.
In the part-time Master degree, you can acquire an international double degree that will expand your career opportunities in global companies. In addition, you will improve your language and intercultural skills during your stay and expand your personal network thanks to international students and lecturers At our partner university, the largest and most well-known university in Scotland, Edinburgh Napier University , the double degree is completed as a distance learning course.

Mathematics and physics are closely related. On the one hand, mathematics provides the methods for investigating certain problems in physics. On the other hand, increasingly complex physical theories, such as quantum mechanics or string theory, significantly affect the development of new mathematical theories. This international program in mathematical physics is interdisciplinary, allowing students to expand upon their math skills and work in a research team. Students can focus on either math or physics.

The international Master in programme scientific computing is geared towards students working at the intersection of Mathematics, Computer Science, and application fields. The programme objective is to offer a specialized educational background that enables students to apply the state-of-the-art methods and tools of Scientific Computing to solution of challenging problems in modern technology and sciences. The focus of the programme is mainly the efficient numerical solution of partial differential equations. The International Graduate Studies in Mechatronics is an interdisciplinary study program. Students of Mechatronics join from all around the world so the course is designed to first integrate the knowledge of students coming from various fields and cultures (alignment subjects). 
In the second and third semester relatively complex courses are offered providing students with broad knowledge in mechanical as well as electrical engineering.

Electrical Engineering Master Program covers the traditional foundations of electrical engineering and information technology. The program offers six specializations to choose from: Smart Information Processing, Communication Systems, Nano and Optoelectronics, Power-electronic Systems and Technologies, Smart Sensors, and Electromagnetics and Applications.

The Semester contributions totalling 214.70 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Administrative fee 70.00 EUR, Student Services fee and VVS-StudiTicket solidarity fee 134.70 EUR and Student body fee 10.00 EUR

English proficiency can also be proven by at least six semesters on a Bachelor study program in the English language

The Master Program in Polymer Science is research-oriented. The Master program in Mathematical Physics is a research oriented interdisciplinary program geared towards fundamental research at the interface of mathematics and physics. The Master program in Data science provides knowledge in current developments in software and infrastructure engineering, as well as Big Data technology. The key focus will be on practical problem-solving skills. The aim of this course is to prepare students to work as a specialist, who can develop challenging data science applications and systems, in both the private and public sectors. Career prospects include Senior Data Scientist, Data Science Consultant, Data Science Developer and so on. This program is offered in two variants of 60 and 120 ECTS.
