The MA Serial Storytelling at the ifs is Europe’s first Master Programme focusing on collaborative writing for series. Focusing on both local and international series markets, this intensive two-year Master degree combines story development skills, collaboration techniques, and the innovative approach of artistic research. The programme is supported by industry partners such as RTL Media Group, ZDF, SKY Deutschland, Paramount, btf bildundtonfabrik, Série Series, Series Mania, and the Film Festival Cologne.
The Master programme in Serial Storytelling guides young professionals in exploring, conquering, and expanding forms and methods of serial narration for TV and digital platforms. Accompanied by renowned series creators, script consultants, and media scholars, the students analyse the secrets behind the success of popular series and develop their own innovative series concepts.

The two-stage application process consists of Submission of application documents and a selection interview, Applicants must submit past work samples, a CV, and assignments to demonstrate their eligibility to participate in the MA Digital Narratives program, Applicants should submit their application via Email to:

Internship is not mandatory, but is optional during studies. If possible, we recommend doing an internship.

Drug Discovery and Development

The Master programme in Experimental Geosciences includes the characterization of physical and chemical properties of Earth materials to Advanced our understanding of such properties. The Master programme in Experimental Geosciences encompasses a number of traditional scientific fields: mineralogy, crystallography, solid state physics, inorganic chemistry, material sciences, geochemistry and cosmochemistry, as well as geophysics. Only by integrating these diverse subfields can one fully understand structure and dynamics of the Earth.

The Master program in Neurosciences offers excellent study and research conditions to prepare aspiring young scientists for a professional career in academia or science-related professions in the private or public sector. Master programme in Public Sector Innovation and E-Governance aims to provide students with the knowledge, skills and methods necessary to meet the academic and professional standards in the fields of public management, information systems and e-Governance. Programme is offered in cooperation with the Katholieke Universiteit (KU) Leuven in Belgium and the Tallinn University of Technology in Estonia. Students complete their first semester at the KU Leuven, spend their second semester at the University of Münster, and finish in Tallinn in their third semester.

Public Sector Innovation and eGovernance

University of Münster

During studies in the Master program students will engage with core topics in political and administrative science research from an international and comparative perspective. The focus is on empirical projects in the areas of administration, public policy, management, and governance using qualitative and quantitative methods and drawing on subject-specific theoretical knowledge. During the theoretical and empirical training students will deepen their knowledge about the structure and the functioning of public administration from the local to the global level. Graduates will encounter a broad range of professional opportunities: Besides universities or research institutions, future employment can include administration, parties and other social interest groups, non-governmental organizations, or the media. 

It is mandatory to do an internship. It is easier to find internship when it is mandatory. 3-6 months is most common.
