The Master degree programme in Modern Indian Studies unites perspectives from the humanities, the social sciences and economics. In addition to academic knowledge specific to India, students will acquire well-founded essential knowledge from Regional and Cultural Studies. The program is designed to offer students a great deal of flexibility in their study plan, allowing them to develop and pursue their own interests within the interdisciplinary study program.

It includes Administrative fee 75.00 EUR, Students body Contribution fee 14.00 EUR, Train semester ticket fee 92.44 EUR, Bus Semester ticket fee 50.90 EUR, Culture semester ticket fee 11.14 EUR and Student union fee 107.00 EUR
Minimum entry requirement includes a Bachelor degree in related field of study such as development studies, geography, history, gender or diversity studies, Indian studies, Indology, Islam studies, ethnology or cultural anthropology, media studies, political science, religious studies, social and economic history, sociology or economics or equivalent.
Native speakers of United States of American, Canada (with the exception of the province of Québec), the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (including associated territories), the Republic of Ireland, Australia or New Zealand are exempted from providing proof of language requirement
English taught degree program is accepted as proof of language requirement
